I’m rewatching the whole series again and I finally got to this part. The one I dreaded the most, and it still hits hard. Every shogun episode was arguably the best in Gintama. Which goes into the magic of Gintama, with the amazing ability to turn a running joke of an episode into something more serious and sad.

I remember watched GINTAMA back in 2018 coz of ma friend influence me (thx sista) at 1st I can't hold w the dirty jokes but damn the fights in every arc is 😢

Gintoki and Otose's first meeting was shown as a flashback from Catherine's first introduction and it was stuck in my mind and made me continue the series even more so when they showed it again here I immediately recognized the scene. Sad that majority of them didn't remeber but then again early episodes of gintama are pretty much easy to forget

I have seen so many deaths in anime and was able to replay the scenes. But shogun’s death here is hard to watch and this is the only time i watched it again

This could have been such a good end to the show. It was perfect. They decided to drag it out, but it was epic and could've ended here. Everyone stabbing Utsuro should've been the end of it. Too bad they wanted to milk it
