“Just accept it” is dismissive, not validating the feelings that you are experiencing. That’s why it rubs me the wrong way.
@claredownhamcoachАй бұрын
Absolutely! I totally agree. And anyway, who is the one doing the accepting. That has to happen on an unconscious level and comes when we have seen something about our experience and how it is created. No chooser to do the accepting.

This video is amazing. I've just had an insight that it's not the place or thing causing me anxiety it's thought I'm having at the moment and I can just ignore them because they aren't true. I don't know how I'll feel. If I feel anxious it's only because I think I'll be anxious

very insightful points... I've been realizing lately that I tend to judge myself harshly whenever involuntarily thoughts spring up within me that relate to feelings of insecurity or jealousy of other people and (especially my partner) . Now that I've started to experiment with allowing those feelings to exist rather than automatically believing that they must be a sign that I am crazy or unfixable I have noticed that I can move on to other emotional states more smoothly. I feel like as a result of this I have had an easier time connecting and staying present in social interactions and I'm noticing a general heightened sense of curiosity about the experiences and opinions of other people in my life

That's such a good question, and I really can relate. One thing I often hear is "all boats rise with the tide". As we grow and change those around us seem to do the same. It's all inside out ❤. This is soooo helpful. But, I continue to not feel comfortable around the 'person'. Which is awkward because they are an in-law, and distancing myself doesn't feel right either 🙄. I really do not enjoy their company. This feels unkind, but what do you do?

@@claredownhamcoach thank you so much sister for replying me...sister I wouldn't be able to talk on call because I am confidence issues and I am not while speaking English I am from India and While writing English also I have to think before writing I mean we use Hindi here so it's little hard to speak My problem that is my mother physically abused me and I am not heal from that yet.... Actually it's story 2 month before in October my father was very ill And my siblings are small And I never go alone anywhere because I have eyesight problem by birth so family never send me alone So my mother use to take me to college..as my father was ill my siblings are small so there was no one to look after the house So she called uncle my father's brother so that he can come and look after the house for a while but he refused..he could come he was not so far but he didn't came he did it intentionally..so by this behaviour I got angry...and that stupod man is coming just 15 minutes late he could come on time but he didn't So I in anger said rude words to him and in return he also said then my mother what she did she started slapping me on my face non stop And it was very painful and bad experience I am a human being not a toy not someone's property 😭 She also said very bad things and cursed and verbally abused me I stopped then also she kept on fighting when I say something to her she started beating.. Do I deserve all this?? I was wrong that I should not say rude but he was also wrong and my mother she was mad at She had so much hate for me? She was unfair to me... It was like she was releasing all frustrations on me.. And she also didn't like my uncle and father.. But then too she was so unfair to me I think just to show her that she is good mother for her useless image she will kill me?? And I can't tell what things she said to me There memories are very painful I feel like to end my life sometimes Only my sisters give me emotional support and nobody cares about me I don't feel like studying doing anything Please sister understand my feelings and give me some advice that I can heal and move on I feel insulted my ego is hurt I feel like I was only imperfect that's why she did this..and it's hurting me a lot 😭😭 And from that day I stopped talking to her
