I really struggle with the emphasis islam places on mothers. It's like universally a mother is perfect, has never done wrong, never abused ther kids etc.

I know it might be difficult but Allah will reward your sabr(patience) there were many people at the time of the prophet (PBUH) that became Muslim and there parents as well as family became absolutely miserable with them but even then they tried there best to maintain that respect even if it was difficult. Your struggle will be correlated to your reward InshAllah

SubhanAllah how Sheikh Omar mentioned how the duaa of both mother and the oppressed the oppressed are answered. It's natural for a mother to want good for her children and to pray for them, and so if she's not following her nature (فطرة), she most likely will oppress the child and in return the child is oppressed and their own duaa to themselves is answered.

Yesterday. There was a group that go for Umrah. I saw my own eyes the agent never registered to go for Umrah. They had to turn back home. My heart was heartbroken to seen when they supposed to be in Mecca. Stand infront of the caba. It's so sad . 😢
