The key phrase is the 'greeting' or praise in the idea of repetitive prayer directed to God through the very act that he has chosen to glorify Himself, so the angelic salvation heralding the 'gospel good news' of the Incarnation is actually central to this tradition. Also, prayer directed to God in this way is 'timeless', present to Him in eternity. Unless he forgets the soul or voice crying out earnestly this prayer, he will seek out this soul with grace. Hence, Mary is very present as the mediation of this act of grace, and explains her title 'mediatrix of all grace' while being 'kecharitomene' as the very name the Angel gives her in the salutation.

Imagine calling the churches who built the foundations of Christianity, founded by Christ, grown by the Holy Apostles, and perpetuated for 2000 years through the teachings and martyrdom of countless saints, misguided. Tell me, friend, which one of the 30,000 protestant denominations do you come from? One that was founded 500 years ago by a monk who wanted to get married? One created so a king could divorce his wife? Or is it the one founded in 1986 in the local mini mall between the Joe Bob's chicken shack and 99 cent store?

It doesn't matter what these prideful so called reformers believed, its what Jesus said to his disciples. This IS my body. Verily, verily I say to you, whoever does not eat my flesh and drink my blood has no life in him. Do they think Jesus was lying! There have been many Eucharistic miracles through the centuries. The most famous being the miracle of Lanciano in the 7th century. For those of the Sola Scriptura brigade, the bible was compiled by the Catholic church in the 4th century from knowledge handed down from sacred tradition.
@robertpigott53123 ай бұрын
Think about it. No matter what fancy name you give eating the wafer, it represents the ancient practice of cannibalism.
@LegioMariaeYT3 ай бұрын
Completely incorrect, The Eucharist is not cannibalism because it is a sacramental, supernatural participation in Christ’s glorified body and blood. It transcends mere physical consumption and is an act of faith that unites believers with the life-giving power of Jesus' sacrifice. Cannibalism involves destruction and violence, while the Eucharist brings life, grace, and communion with God.

@LegioMariaeYT3 ай бұрын
Very similar, a few standouts though; there are no Devotions required, it lasts a full year rather than the Sunday after Easter, and communion, prayer for the Pope’s intentions, and detachment from sin rather than trust and acts of Mercy. Both great, can't go wrong.

Easy to reject transubstantiation, is UNbiblical. Also, It requires the priest to ask God for that transubstantiation to happen. Yet again. We don't know if that was granted. What we know is what is written. MATTHEW 18:20 For where two or three GATHER IN MY NAME, there am I with them.”
@camila_costa123 ай бұрын
You protestants are so heretic
@LegioMariaeYT3 ай бұрын
Transubstantiation was a word coined by St Thomas Aquinas, the Eucharist is referenced in John 6. Your quote from Matthew is more in relation to people gathering in prayer or worship. The transubstantiation happens because the Holy Spirit flows through the priest and changes the bread and wine into the living body and blood of Jesus Christ.

@rexlion45103 ай бұрын
The Anglicans didn't really take the 'purely symbolic' view even though Cranmer leaned in that direction. The most common view in Anglicanism has been (and still is) that Christ is Really Present in the Eucharist in a Spiritual and Sacramental sense, but is not corporally present since His corporal body is in heaven. But as you say, Anglicanism is broad and is widely accepting of a range of views concerning the Eucharist; someone who believes in Christ's Real and Substantial (corporal) Presence could communicate alongside someone who holds a symbolic/memorialist view, and the two are brethren. The church does not anathematize either one. One thing which the Anglican Church does teach against, however, is the practice of worshiping the Eucharist along with the associated elevations and processions, for the basic reason that the First Commandment forbids Christians from utilizing any man-made objects or images for the purpose of bowing down to or worshiping them. Exo 20:4,5 "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them..." Is the _image_ of bread a 'graven' (man-made) image? Yes, it is. May we render worship toward graven images? No, it is forbidden. Lev 26:1 "Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God." Is the host in the monstrance a 'standing image' set up for people to kneel and worship toward it as their god? Yes, it is. The fact that Christ is Really Present in the Eucharist is viewed as 'beside the point,' because of the Commandment. *The essence of idolatry is: **_making an object which is intended to represent God, then declaring it to be God and directing worship toward the visible image of the object._* Every idolater truly believes that the image he uses in worship really is his God, otherwise why would he do it? God wants all people to avoid this practice. To the Anglican, it is morally repugnant to render worship toward the visible image of man-made bread even though Christ is Present. For the Catholic who believes in Transubstantiation, the bread's substance is gone and Christ is Substantially Present, however the _man-made image_ of bread unavoidably remains.

I don’t think we need God for morals to exist or feel binding. Our sense of right and wrong, like why murder, abuse, or racism feel universally wrong, can be explained by our biology and social evolution. We’re social creatures, and values like empathy and fairness help us live together. It’s also odd to include racism as an example of something universally wrong, as many people throughout history, and even today, promote racism and see it as a moral virtue. This shows that moral values are not agreed upon, and what one person sees as wrong, another may view as justified or even moral. Even something as seemingly clear-cut as murder depends on context. For example, many people don’t consider mercy killing as murder, though it’s still legally defined as such in many countries. This shows that how we apply moral concepts varies between cultures and legal systems. Morality is not fixed by an external source; it’s shaped by our shared humanity, culture, and social structures. It adapts to societal needs, making it flexible and evolving rather than being an unchanging, objective truth.

Hierarchy, structure and leadership is not a bug. It’s a feature. It works. We see it in nature and society. The Catholic Church has miraculously survived for 2,000 years and is the oldest continuously running organisation on the planet. Without hierarchy, structure and leadership, you get chaos.

Sunday is not the sabbath, it's actually Saturday. The Catholic Church changed it to Sunday, along with other so called Christian holiday. Christmas, Jesus was not born in December, as Gabriel came to Mary 6th month... luke1:26-38. Jesus did not die at Easter time as the date changes every year. Study your bible to show understanding....
@LegioMariaeYT5 ай бұрын
That is correct, the original day of the Jewish Sabbath was Saturday. It became Sunday after Jesus rose from the dead, the new Sabbath. The Early church Father's estimated the most likely day for the birth of Jesus is in Dec, as it is not specifically spoken of in any of the Gospels. Easter changes based on the lunar calendar, none of this is made up and nothing to do with man made church inventions. Based on your reasoning, are you saying we shouldn't celebrate Christmas or Easter?

@MM-rn5dc The Christ (energy) is SPIRIT come to life through Jesus, the Human Master, may you find him in your own Spirit, now. 🙏 Jesus taught us by saying, "Transform Your Mind;" Ephesians 4:23: "Let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes". 🦋🕊 We are all Spiritual Beings having a Human Being Experience. 👁🤍 Until you can find through your 'OWN' heart, & (stop following other's) who 'the true Christ was, is and always will be "IN" you, by way of -- "HIS Steam of Consciousness" until then you will remain "Slumbering" in the pews of dogmatic Materialism. It is what it is. I, too, for over 35 years, was kept in a slumbering state of mind in the pews of dogmatic Christianity teachings. I have been "Awakened" SPIRITUALLY through the transformation of my mind. I live "IN" -- THe CHRIST," and the Christ Spirit lives "IN" me, and has Awakened me IN TRUTH by His Truth, HE, THE CHRIST, has set me free 🙌 ✨️ The CHRIST SPIRIT came to earth and lived in a human being-- JESUS, for only 3 years of Jesus' 33 years of life here upon the earth as a "human being individual." Where now we have been brought to understand these teachings by The Christ through Jesus the man, at this time if we are Awakened with the help of then Higher Angelic Hierarchy that's when and only when we will all go a renewing of our mind Spiritually in this knowledge that our Ancient ancestors have left behind for us all to understand in it's proper Spiritual content by way of our own hearts understanding ❤️ So then, with all that said, let me clise with this tib bit of knowledge... ... no one is right, and no one is wrong. We as spiritual human beings here on earth are all on our personal individual spiritual journeys. And we will be helped to Spiritually Awaken in our own Divine Timing. But, we can also help ourselves do so by going INWARD only, and by doing our own Spiritual 'works' on self, through our own 'Higher Self' and that being our own true self, of Spirit. I know this is deep, but only to those who are still slumbering Spiritually. I pray you, too, will Awaken soon INTO your personal spiritual heart. "Know Thy Self" And know the THE CHRIST ESSENCE of the truth and you too will be set free and come out of the world in order to walk in the spirit with CHRIST. 👁🕊☀️🌾 Blessings Beautiful Souls 🫂❤️
