Both me and a buddy have had nothing but issues with the Discus from Disco32 and we both are running Ops-Core Amps…very disappointing to say the least.

Is you headset seated all the way inside the discus? I know you have to firmly push it in until it clicks. It will seat deeper in the fitting and should fix the issue you are having…. Just push it in further

I have the amplified Disco 32 PTT with the Kenwood K-1 plug. I'm running it on an Anytone AT-D878UVII. I have attached the FCS brand AMPS to the setup. I get great receive audio, but no audio passes through the boom mic. I know that the FCS mic is cardioid, so I ordered the real Ops Core Amps Dynamic boom mic to see if that fixes it. If not, I need to re-wire the PTT. I sure hope that the boom mic alone fixes it.

an Armorwerx U-174 NATO/Military to Civilian Wiring Adapter between the discus and headset may solve this. it appears to be a nato<-->civilian wiring adapter and addressed the same type of clicking when using a flight helmet u-174 to 3mm 4-pin nato omtp adapter to connect my peltor tactical pro with peltor mic and wiring to my phone

I keep hearing negative stuff about disco 32. Sucks cause this device is a cool idea. I hope someone makes a better one.

Have the same issue with Comtac 6. When the radio engages the audio output it pops pretty bad. Only when the device is on

@Turd Ferguson mine works just fine with my Android + peltor comtac 3 and my duty Ops Core Amps as well. I have tried with multiple radios and ptt's set up, and all works flawlessly.

Did you ever find a fix? I’m having minor popping but the volume is half of what it should be.

No, unfortunately...I think it is going to require a redesign on the internal circuits/electronics.

I use my portable battery operated AM radio tuned off station to hunt down arcing. The ferret bar AM antennas are directional. Last thing you want is arcing inside your house so I search. Last time I tracked the noise down to a power pole near my house. Gave the power company the pole number and they came out and fixed it.

Disco 32 got actually bad rep. His antennas are really bad - for example vest mounted antennas. SNRcomms is way ahead of discos. Now I'm adding that he is refusing you service. So he makes pricey but low quality products. Plus he used someone elses handle that is in Audio business as a means to advertise himself, without ever telling him. So lots of cons and very few pros with disco32.

Hi, great video. Been searching endless for this, at the brink of giving up. Please could you explain from the part where you launched your AVRdude console. And which IDE did you use to compile your code, how/where did you save the code? Thanks
