The flat raking of the facing is what we do as well. We do not want any uneven stances or worse, fried egg lies.

Ok...I do take some issue with this way of checking sand depth in bunkers. Moving that much sand with the foot would create an area of softer sand when filled back in. This would create pockets of soft vs firm sand in that Bunker. My preferred method is to use a flat shovel to probe the various areas of the bunker. Much less intrusive.

I had 96 bunkers to do on 18 main course and 9 hole short course only me 3 others set time to be done in 2 h 30 min had to be finished by 9am

Good video. Shows many different techniques for different situations. Preparing them properly at beginning of season makes them easier to take care of during season. Sand Pro's can be time savers but also can destroy or damage smaller bunkers.

If that's the only bunker on your course then you're good lol sand pro and rake the edges, job done

I just take the sand pro and use a leaf rake around the perimeter

What sand do you use?

Fuck bunker care. I love working on golf courses but I detest bunkers. Our course has like 2-3 on each hole. Even worse when you have less crew.

I always enjoy seeing the grounds crew change up bunker rake styles makes the game fun and more of a challenge if your aim was off a bit

Seems like a ton of time wasted, honestly. We just use sand pros. This must be a course that doesn't have a lot of play... so they have time to spend like that fucking around on bunkers.

It'll take the bunker crew at least 12 hours to make their way through 18.
