I use these: www.kentfaith.com/KF06.436_new-product-kf-m11105-nik-nex-pro-20-year-high-precision-lens-adapter-orange They are dumb adapters so no transference of data from the lens, but they are very sturdy and have zero light leak.

Fwiw the Milvus 35 is actually softer wide open than its proper Supreme cinema series counterpart. But if you want a creamier look you will have to use filtration of some sort. Like you, I don't like pro-mist filters, Glimmerglass is much nicer. But you should also research and consider more classical methods like using pantyhose/special nylon stockings stretched either in front of or behind the lens.

@@minarhodes thank you for your insights! have you ever tried the zeiss cp3's before ? I have the opportunity to buy them at a good price! do you think that the T 2.1 are good in low light as the milvus ? do they match the milvus in image quality so maybe I can buy the set of cp3 and add a 50 and 85 milvus superspeed ?

It all depends on your style and what you shoot with. They both have the trademark Zeiss rendering, but the Milvus superspeeds are sharper, have more contrast, and are essentially free of all major optical flaws even wide open. They are also extremely bulky and need to be rigged up with supports etc to shoot with. The Contax line are softer, smaller, lighter, and have vintage optical flaws (bad coma, chromatic abberation etc). If you need flares you go with the AEG Contax lenses--the Milvus do not flare in any appreciable way. The Contax are old and delicate and will eventually break or require servicing, the Milvus lenses are built like tanks and are weather sealed. On full frame I prefer the Milvus, but on a crop sensor paired with a speedbooster the Contax lenses are fantastic.

I have a set of Contax Zeiss MMJ, there's some subtle optical thing on zeiss is hard to explain, every time when I put contax zeiss on my camera, it always give me a painting like image, whatever in focus looks very poping out, and the focus roll off is also very pleasing. Because the 28mm and 35mm I only have the f2.8 version instead of F/2 and F1.4, I am thinking if I want to get the faster version..... after cine mod, they basically cost the same as the new DZO vespid Primes which are a good set of prime too.

@@thatsamuellu the famous "Ziess 3D pop" rendering is very real, it's one of the reasons I love them. DZO Vespids are nice lenses but they don't have the distinctive Zeiss look.
