It breaks my heart to see Lakehills like that. The lake is actually around 2% of its capacity. The water being siphoned away for the aquifer and farms due to the immigrant-forced population growth has laid waste to the town. It's sad to see.

I planned this ride about 2 months ago when you told me about it. Everything went wrong that could have, I hurt my back (recovered) it rained, twice, flooded once in Ingram. I finally did it, I rode it in both directions. The first direction was into the sun, so I don't know if I'll use it. Take care.

Sorry I got diverted. I'm riding the full length of the Natchez Trace. I'm staying a couple nights in Goshen Springs Campground Mississippi. The Trace is stunningly beautiful! My last video you can see some of it. I'm sure I'll be back around Center Point later this year but my buddy sold his Harley.

My buddy lives just around the corner from that gas station. That's where I get my late-night ice cream fix. And I've eaten at that Los Dos Amigos there in Center Point a few times. I've also eaten at the Camp Verde restaurant and spent some time just listening to the water by the creek. I really think they should serve Camel Burgers, don't you? 😉 You're making me homesick as I hang out at Rocket Ranch waiting for the SpaceX Starship to go orbital. Very short video coming out tomorrow from there. Look forward to riding with you later in the spring. Then a camper at Rocket Ranch told me I should take the Natchez Trace so guess that's where I'll head next after Center Point.

Lane Levit rode for the Plonkers Trials Association as an Expert rider, my father Jerome Wiencek was president of the club. My dad bought me a Bultaco Sherpa T 350cc at 13yo from an Expert rider who rode it in Two National events.

I've been at Rocket Ranch campground in Boca Chica TX this winter and not leaving until the SpaceX Starship goes orbital. Would be nice to see you down here with us. It's beautiful. Looks like PITS property in 1974ish Woodside CA, then Holester CA, then somewhere back east. Recognized the great Marlin Whaley, then Lan Levit, Bernie Shriver. Very fune time for all involved as we all had just discovered the new awesome sport of Observed Trials and many of us lived for it!

The first part was west of Ft Worth, TX. Other parts were Bastrop, Tx and north of San Antonio. In the back and white I’m the first and last rider.

@@mlhamm5527 Funny how similar CA & WA can be terrain wise. Thanks so much for posting. I was riding trials in WA 1974 and 75 forward in CA. I was in junior high so these guys were my hero's. So sad when I heard Marlin died. I watched a national at Goldbar WA in 74 and he road twice as fast on uphill bolder sections-so exciting to watch with his works Honda. He was in another class from the others that day!

dusty sheesh. im signed up to attend this year. how do they determine/make the groups by color? Is it by jeep build or just random? Do all jeeps do the same trails?

I’m not sure how they group the Jeeps. I think they all do the same trails but start at different stages. My son has the red grand Cherokee
