This mix is sick. Didn’t realize it was on ‘Never Enough’ The Best of Jesus Jones. Looks like I need to go digging into this album. Saw them in ‘91 and ‘93. I knew J.J. during a vacation in London. It was the '91 A.D. An English friend of mine gave me an official tape of the band. Then, in my Town, in Italy I bought the next release, in cd version. I love them so much..during this Summer, the English friend of mine Is dead. Si, J.J. music reminds me him...

Love the Industrial vibes in this song. At that time in 1993 just a few bands were doing this kind of sound and they were ahead of its time.

"Perverse" is an album missunderstood by most people. It was ahead of its time back in 1993, they take the best of Pop Rock and Synth Pop with the attitude and sound of Nine Inch Nails, EMF, and even Depeche Mode.

Virtual Reality Taking Over Is the jist I get from the lyrics and use of VR Headsets in video says it, Virtual Reality Arcade games out in 1991, who ever wrote this song knew VR would be Huge in years to come,.this is what alot of music is about

The Album not was underrated! The devil you know was #1 in the billboard modern rock tracks for 4 weeks in Febraury of 1993... This song also had a lot of air play.... so not underrated... if you call this underrated today... yup....sure today all is underrated if is old!

I said Zeros and Ones was excellent... but at the time no one cared because it wasn't Right Here Right Now... fair enough.... but how good is it now almost 30 years later? Fucking Great is the answer you are looking for :)

Doubt was a solid album, and Right Here Right Now was big... but I never really understood why, to be honest. (International Bright Young Thing and Real, Real, Real were better tracks, I thought.) The whole of Perverse kicked the crap out of anything they'd done previously, and was light years ahead of its time. I thrashed that album so hard I'm surprised I wasn't issued with a noise abatement notice. It effortlessly holds its own even today.
