The revolution has already happened and the country has gotten out of the darkness of the previous government that committed genocide, you're more than grown up to release the truth and stop the brain wash of either your family members or parents, don't worry Rwanda is heading the right direction.

Killing Kizito was the biggest mistake that Paul Kagame did. Rwandans are fearless now. Enough is enough, we need an emergency democratic election in Rwanda, this year 2023 in which all Rwandans will freely participate. We need a new president who is not a military, a president who will bring all Rwandans together and build true peace and reconciliation just like Kizito wanted.

I think it is important to take the emotion out of this if that is possible. I don`t speak Kinyarwanda so it is difficult for me to express an informed opinion but from what I gather, the main difference between Kizito Mihigo and the authorities was on the issue of numbers. Kizito Mihigo was saying the Rwandan army should not have carried out retaliation or revenge killings. And from a technical moral and Christian perspective, this is true. Thou shalt not kill, being the fifth commandment. From the point of view of the authorities, it must be said that the revenge killings that did happen after the genocide were understandable, they were never mandated or ordered officially by the army and in fact such killings were stopped by order of the Army`s high command. Also, the perspective of the authorities is that the killing of 800,000 people is not the same as the killing of 300 (or 3000) I can`t remember which. Also, even from a Christian perspective, there are good reasons to say that numbers matter. God choose to sacrifice his only son for our sake because his son (whom he loved so much) was only one, but we are many. (Of course, to digress, if you were the only person in the world, God would have made the same sacrifice just for you). I am a Catholic but unlike Kizito, I think the main focus should be on seeking forgiveness on what was done by Catholics (including Priests) during the genocide. As a Catholic I beg for forgiveness. The authorities in Rwanda have to make sure ethnic divisions are not resurrected. Perhaps they thought Kizito Mihigo was stoking up ethnic divisions, I don`t know if that is true or false. Clearly, people who are opposed to the regime in Rwanda are trying to turn Kizito Mihigo into a Catholic martyr and as a Catholic, I say Please Stop! Seek forgiveness and offer atonement instead. If Kizito Mihigo was doing something dangerous, then making him a martyr (if that is what happened) only makes him more dangerous. Persuasion is better. Paul Kagame is a good man in my opinion. God bless Rwanda. I hope that country continues to thrive but in doing so, please keep your faith (whichever one you have). Peace.

Rwandan, Burundi in Malawi are now part of us. Some sort of an additional ethnic grouping same as Tumbuka or Chewa etc. I dont see a problem having them around ...they all have abuse abide by the Law. The assimilation has been ok. Plus there is no homophobia in Malawi
