The best donut I've had between California, Oregon and Washington is Donutland in Tualatin OMG fresh throughout the whole day.

My father’s family came from Norway to the area now known as Baltic,SD back in the late 1870s. Grandfather had a drugstore in Irene, and my father and his siblings grew up there in the 1900-1930s. By the late 1930s, the whole family moved to Seattle,WA. I recall that on the map, Irene’s Main Street is the dividing line between two counties, and it terminates/Ts onto another road marking the boundary of a third county. I always wonder who Irene was. I assume the old song “Good Night Irene” is still popular there🙄
