How did you install the lightbar, and raptor lights ? Also any good tire recommendations and lift kits how many inches? I don’t want to lose any performance or gas mileage lifting “ 2024- trd off road premium I am looking at buying” I’m new to the truck game learning everyday. I want to do some light off roading and deep camping but I’m not doing anything crazy with this truck it’s new and don’t want to break anything. But first I want to change the turn signals easy mod lol led than tires and lift and put a light bar, raptor lights.

@grayish_taco19 күн бұрын
@@HotSizzleTV_ my current set up is very conservative when it comes to not modifying the truck or rubbing. 285/75R17 on the tires. Wheels are 17x8.5 +25 offset. For lift I have the westscot lift kit which is 2 inch in the front and 1 inch in the rear

@grayish_taco18 күн бұрын
@ when they say 34” or 35” that’s the overall tire size diameter. My 285/75R17 equates to having 34” tires. Anytime you increase the tire size in your stock vehicle you loose fuel economy.
@HotSizzleTV_17 күн бұрын
@ you recommend 34 size tires over 33 and 35 what is the best sweet spot how much fuel do you lose with your set up? the offset does that mean how far the tires stick out? i like that look when the tires are super wide.

Looks like you control your devices by load so something that could go 15a like a compressor. You’re gonna wire it up to the 15a wire and run aux 1. Ditch lights not sure what they run but 10a would be around 120w so should cover most. Would wire up to the green 10a cable and that would be aux 2. Looks like a pretty nice setup to come from the factory I’m impressed.

My neighbor mentioned something like that. He works nights and he said my raptor lights were on around 1am. I thought he was maybe too tired or something, lol. I think the fuse I tapped into might due a self check on the vehicle here & there thus why it powers the lights when it does. Either way it’s not enough to kill the battery but I’ll begin to look for another fuse to tap into. Let me know what you did about this.

is it possible to do this without removing the whole grille?
@grayish_taco4 ай бұрын
You Can, just mark where you want the lights to sit. I used small blue painters tape cut to the shape of the LED lights. Begin with a small drill bit to create a pilot hole, then slowly use a Dremmel with a diamond cut bit. I only took the grill off because I couldn’t find a video where it had been done, I wanted to see comfortably how the back of the grill was going to be while drilling.

Thanks so much! Super helpful ☺️. Quick question, for the relay on/off switch that came with your KC light harness, did you just trim that off since you’re using the OEM switch?
@grayish_taco6 ай бұрын
I simply just cut off the switch. They’re 3 cables going to the toggle switch that came with the lights. Once I cut the switch I wired one lead to the 5amp aux switch for the backlight option. The other lead which is for the actual bright beam I wired to the 10amp aux switch. The ground to ground.
@JZEFPV6 ай бұрын
So how do you choose which switch controls each light? Like you said you have the black 15amp wire on aux 1, but what if I wanted to do the 15amp on aux 3 instead? You still need to connect the 15amp light or accessory to the black wire under the hood or kick panel correct? Is there a way to program which switch controls which circuit if each switch isn’t hardwired to the corresponding amp rated wire like the manual shows?
@grayish_taco6 ай бұрын
You can’t swamp the amps on the inside aux switches. They are already wired for 15,10,5amps. Aux1 will power 15amp, aux2 10amp and aux3 5amp. All 3 switches are loomed together into one harness that contains 4 cables, one lead cable for each switch and one for ground. The harness option with plugs throughout the truck in case your connecting accessories in various places. I think there is 2 in the engine bay, one in the kick panel and one by the rear frame. They pretty much ran the wiring for you.
