this is a bit similar volgren version they have here in sydney and in Queensland but not on a cr224l body though in sydney and Queensland. their type is a 14.5 scania cr228l

It’s a shame these Element 2s are plagued with issues because they are actually really nice buses to ride on, and I like how they are Australian built too.
@Fong1486 күн бұрын
Definitely feels so much better than the electric buses that we have here in Singapore 😂
@eol8766714 күн бұрын
their a much popular electric vehicle in Sydney currently while Tasmania metro has their own aswell, this one is pretty new for transport canberra. they are a handful of vehicles built In Australia. they are a market leader in Australian bus building body manufacturing.
@joshporter542212 күн бұрын
Yet have had and are continuing to have numerous technical issues. The Canberran units have just been pulled from service, albeit Custom Denning claim that issues aren't serious as reported. Be interesting to see what'll become of this.

i’m quite interested to see what happens with the elements, while they are nice to ride on they have had so many problems it’s uncanny at this rate. I hope the issues can be fixed but I’m not expecting much

@@deventted Nope, this bus is fitted with 6-speed ZF Ecolife. You can have a listen between 5:20 and 6:05, there are five gear shifts which corresponds to the six-speed automatic gearbox.

I haven't seen much of these out on rail replacement before. it only becomes rare for an iveco metro CB80 to be let out on these type of rail shuttle service. its good they have used them now. most operators would have the rail replacement contract to operate on weekend trackwork replacement services all day to Sunday. & providing their fleet of buses to cater the service. these operate on the central coast with coastal liner that is now owned by CDC.

this is a very good model that only had been built in the Dandenong volgren factory in Victoria. their a well Australian bus manufacturer company that builds these vehicles. because their well known to have taken the design of the original B7RLE volgren cr228l bus onto the new volgren optimus design. their body is more new with their front face & back body being more well design uplift. & they have brand new onboard lightings.
@eol876678 ай бұрын
you will see this is the same bodywork as the original Volvo B7RLE CB60 evo 2 two axle unit. this is really the longer version of it. it's however has a scania engine instead of a Volvo. its only a bunch of 14.5 orders by CDC for use on high frequency routes to service western Sydney. these operate to rouse hill/parramatta/Macquarie park/ Blacktown. I do really get impressed with these buses because they have quite an impressive horsepower. it's one of the exclusive 3 axle units in western Sydney along with the volgren 14.5 units aswell.

@Fong14810 ай бұрын
Yeah it is probably the last drivable bus from SBS’s B10M series. But you are technically correct if you are considering just the B10Ms alone 😆. SBS9C and SBS1836A were sold to NZ as well but seems like they are not in service anymore.

these were the newest Australian Built bustech CDI Double decker model.& built up in queensland bustech manufacturing plant. where they manufacture these for some bus operators in some states. & they are the modern class of their type. these have the capacity to carry a number of passengers onboard.
@eol8766710 ай бұрын
oh yep this is the one from my regions depot. they are ex western Sydney buses used to be run by Sydney buses or STA they used to been called in the past. these b12ble cb60's are mostly everywhere aswell with newer bus operators in different regions who took over sta.

Other than the seat covers, everything else was just how it was when it was first delivered to SBS. Just amazing.
@Fong14810 ай бұрын
I think at some point in NZ, the original single seater at the trailer were combined together and additional seats were added to increase the seating capacity. Never rode SBS998Y when it was in Singapore but I found a photo (From SG Transportation) here for reference: facebook.com/photo/?fbid=419888984718751&set=a.419499154757734 Otherwise, except for the seat covers, everything looks like how it was when it operated by SBS/SBST:)
