Would you be able to make a file for your maps with all the colors?
@KristiGaddyАй бұрын
@@JsrSimps I now tutor Essentials. I have passed down all of my materials to other Foundation tutors in my community. All I did, however, to make these maps is copy them from the guide and color the areas with color pencils. I think the Sandbox in CC Connected even has the maps loaded where you can easily print them now-a-days. Most of my content was made 3 or more years ago.

Hi, We love your videos. I am wondering if you could also add a short clip of this video of just the portion where you sing the song and repeat. It would be so helpful to be able to have on a playlist to quickly review without having to go to the song. I love the explanation and it is very helpful just not all the time... Thank you again.

@@calgarybrazil I am no longer tutoring Foundations. I am now tutoring Essentials and have now passed down all of my tutor boards to other tutors in my community. I have decided to leave this KZbin account open for those who follow my songs, but I am no longer making videos. It was much easier to keep up with when I was in the thick of tutoring this information. I’m sorry. Other moms have tagged a timestamp in the comments to help them remember when the singing starts. Maybe that would be helpful? I hope your year is blessed with peace and beautiful learning!

@@rachelmarkwood7685 It’s so catchy, isn’t it? I learned it 7 years ago from our tutor when we first joined CC. I couldn’t place it either. Others have posted and said it is Loch Lomond slowed down. I don’t know what the American equivalent is. It is certainly down embedded deep in the crevasses of my childhood.

Overall, these are great memory helps, but for the sake of accuracy, "us" is not a second person pronoun; it is a first person plural pronoun. Perhaps we could say, "You need a SECOND person in order to use the pronoun 'us.' "
@KristiGaddy4 ай бұрын
@@mckinzienewman6411 I’m not following. These aren’t pronouns. They are Latin noun declensions, or endings. We cover an extensive list of pronouns in Cycle 2.
@mckinzienewman64114 ай бұрын
@@KristiGaddy, When you are describing how to remember which noun ending starts the second declension list, at 4:07, you say, "Second person point of view uses pronouns like 'us,' and '-us' is two people." The pronoun "us" is not a second person pronoun. It is a first person plural pronoun. I understand that the "-us" on this chart is a noun ending, not a pronoun. I am pointing out that the hook given for remembering which noun ending starts the second declension noun ending list is not accurate, and suggesting an alternative. Thanks for this great video! Last time my daughter and I did Cycle 1, we had a horrible time remembering which list of noun declensions went with which tune, and your memory hooks in this video are helpful.

Hey there, just curious if it matters that the song is not in order with the foundations book?
@KristiGaddy4 ай бұрын
@@leahmoore8237 No, it doesn’t matter. The point is that our children memorize the material at this level of their education. I have proofed many Memory Masters where they will often start at the end of a song and circle their way back around. With Geography specifically, I usually teach students to recognize big landmarks to find their bearings and then show me the information from there. The songs are just a tool to help them remember how to group the empires and timelines.
