Her poetry was so incredibly beautiful it brought me to tears. This art form, that I’ve never seen or heard of, is just so utterly spontaneous and pure. This magical woman appears to have the ability to access directly her ancestral memory, the very roots of her culture, and spin whatever she finds there into a delicate and beautiful song. You need to have a deeper understanding of these terms to translate them. While Al Rahman is an attribute of attributes, Al Raheem is a single attribute. Al Rahman encompasses the Just, the Absolute, the One, the High etc., while Al Raheem is a single attribute meaning the ever merciful, or the dispenser of mercy. So a simple word for word translation will never give the correct meaning. I too have been trying since the mid 90's to translate the Quran but never really got anywhere.
