Who else remembers watching this episode?! Nel Carter was a household name in the 80’s.. we would sit and watch this hoping Nel would have a singing episode. They all sounded so great. I don’t care what anyone says about the 80’s and how much they make fun of it but hands down had the best tv programs that were pure family fun. Even the commercials were entertaining. This was great. Thanks for this

I grew up watching Gimme A Break and this scene is responsible for me discovering this kind of music. Fantastic. Watching this now it makes me wonder if the makers of Sister Act were inspired by this for the Whoopi girl group opening scene?

I absolutely love Gimmie Me Break. Every episode that Nell sings in is my favorite. Literally watch at least 2 epsiodes of the show everyday!! Rest well Nell and Lynn.
