How does go on tracks like this at a faster pace? Also how does it go when you go over big jumps? I’m looking at buying but wasn’t sure if would do what need it to do.

F NEO, is just a strip down 4k Drone crashes many times & also on water test, after while land it in water , glad my friend catch it before sinks in..just dont have no f*n feathers to depend on, i bought HoverAir Promax👍 U got a Good Bike goes throw all these rough roads & still stands up without any flat tire eighter👌

Amazing video and cool riders ! What was the physical or functional damage to the drone after the crash ? Did the original 8K footage look noticeably better than what we see here in youtube or the difference is not that great ?

My since-returned Neo had the same result but even worse: got stuck 5x in 5 mins on a moderate DH trail where the woods were a bit closer, it's unable to track in those conditions, it needs wide open areas. Plus the Neo has very slow top speed for tracking. The Hover seems to consistently do much better and can do it at much higher speeds. I'd be curious to see how it does on a denser forest trail.

Not really a true fair test. Was it the same trail? If so, it wasn't the same time of day. The Neo got blinded many times by the sun glare straight ahead in the camera lens. My OG X1 would lose me easily in the trees when I'd go in and out of sunlight and shadows. The pro I agree would be better had an unfair advantage, being in mostly what looked like a cloudy part of the day and not much sunshine straight into the camera lens. But cool video overall!

You're absolutely right about not being the same time of day. I actually filmed them both during mid day but found out when I got home that the footage on the PM was lost when it crashed towards the end when the battery got dislodged before the video was saved. Long story short, I had to go back to redo the Max video, and lighting conditions were no longer the same. To be fair, it was actually to the disadvantage of the X1 as these drones perform better with more light, and the jacket I wore on the second run was actually darker, which matters a fair bit.

That trail looks sweet! I like seeing how well it flies it that type of forest. Where I live the woods are really thick, can’t see more than 100’ in any direction sometimes. So far mine has been doing better than expected though! 🤘

Thanks guys just what I've been waiting for :) Got a new Neo last week here in QC but it failed 5x in 5 mins on my local DH trail in the woods...kept parking behind small trees etc, even when I'm still in the frame and rolling SUPER slow...it's boxed and returning to Amazon today. Your trees are way bigger and more open forest but it's still encouraging that it tracks you at full speed. Hopefully a few firmware fixes will dial it in more. Interesting about the beacon issues... cheers

I also have the DJI Neo and both speed and tracking are like night and day. The video quality is good enough for me that I didn't bother to tweak it, still better than the Neo, in my opinion, but that's just me.

Avoiding a tree requires powerful chips and technology, and the product cannot be so portable or so cheap

Even expert humans will occasionally hit a tree if it comes upon them very quickly, so not really surprising and the hover was going at a fair lick.

@@gregb1599 and would not be able to compete with the hover due to the obstacle avoidance restreining it, plus in case of a crash you have to change the whole drone due to it's design..

It is indeed for what you pay for. I also have the HOVERAir X1 Combo Plus, which costs a bit more with no controller compared to DJI Neo Fly More Combo, and the X1 doesn't fly FPV, at least not that I know of.

That was actually pretty impressive. Stayed with you for most of it and seemed to actually try and avoid a lot of stuff. Lots of usable shots there.

Yes, I suppose it did an ok job. I just wish it was a bit faster. I actually had to slow down and skip some features that require a bit of speed so I don't drop the bugger. The noise, though, is a plus for me as I use it as a gauge as to how close it is or if I'm losing it.

I said it 1,000 times. X1 Pro and Neo to be compaired. Not X1 with Neo. My struggle continues.

Haha! X1 Pro price point is in a different level and is going to be far superior to the Neo. I think the Neo was supposed to compete with the X1. Otherwise, it will just flat out lose on the Pro. Just my thoughts.
