rip to those y’all pay actual respect to the ones who died in that house😢
@UncoordinatedPixie4 күн бұрын
This is why I’ll never buy a house unless the dryer is on a wall where it can be directly vented outside. It’s stupid to have it vented up or around bends and turns in the Line where lint can get trapped and start a fire.

Please, someone explain to me the point of lint screens on dryers is all the lint is just going into the dryer cavity or air duct anyway?
@FigaroHey10 күн бұрын
I'm really confused about lint screens on dryers now. I w😢as brought up to clean the lint screen after every load of washing you dry. But if lint screens on the dryer don't catch all the lint, arent they giving people a false sense of safety? And if lint screens don't protect from dust buildup in the air vents, why has no one designed a better dryer that would catch all the dust? A lint screen that still allows dust to build up in the vents seems about as useful as a brake pedal that turns on the brake lights but doesn't stop your car. Why not have the vent duct quite short and blowing into a container that would catch the lint, like a hepa-filter-lined container so you can collect all the lint and dump it out?
@xonx2097 күн бұрын
I agree dryers should have better lint filtering. You can buy lint filter box that sits in the laundry room, and even add a booster fan

Do ppl in the USA who live In free-standing houses have clothes lines?
@JudyHart121 күн бұрын
Some do, not even 25% I’d guess. If you live where there is a HOA, sometimes they’re not allowed. Also, weather has a huge impact on how efficient they are. Arizona is perfect, Minnesota not so much due to humidity.

Please wear gloves - there might be pins/needles caught up in the lint (pleeeze?). I'm amazed at the amount of lint that dryer held before it finally gave up. People need to be aware that lint build-up can cause fires! Terrific result for all your hard work!

@dryeronfire the termination had a vent cap on it used for water heaters or gas furnaces and was totally blocked with lint. The vent was ABS plastic pipe embedded in the concrete slab and was full of water (condensation) along with globs of soaked lint. Big mess, and what a nightmare!

Crazy bro a leaf blower works great. I've ran cameras down mine and it gets it just as clean as a brush. But I respect you fear you can be replaced with a blower
@dryeronfireАй бұрын
Working in this industry I’ve had a lot of people say they attempted to use a leaf blower and the lint got more clogged and caused a disconnect pipe underneath the house or in the wall/ attic. Im sure it can be done without problems. It can depend obviously! My experience says leaf it to the pros!! 😎
