This species is actualy from venezuela. I know a couple of people who have done expeditions in the llanos in venezuela. They are common there. Tho their real name is corydoras schultzei black. But they are not bred by anyone but nature.

Awesome review. Professional. I've had the A901 for 2 years. It's build is flawless. Just like what was said, for easy green plants and fish this is perfect. It is a very bright light on maximum setting.

You should put the dragonflie outside if you can. Maybe find a nice body of water for it. They eat a ton of mosquitoes when they are adults.

Nice video. Quick question, what type of botanicals/leaves do you use? Your water looks crystal clear!
@eurospage1
@eurospage1 Жыл бұрын
Thank you, I use a number of different botanicals. If you’re in Australia and interested I can let you know where I get them from. The water has lots of floating particles, it does look clear but up close not so much. Plants really help keeping it clean.
@222amg

Yep, I’m Indian in Melbourne, would be keen to know! I use Indian almond leaves, and a few mulberry leaves. But would love to increase the variety and even use more ‘local’ products. All my tanks are planted, just figured the botanicals will give shrimp and corys more to explore/play with!

The dragonfly nymph occasionally comes from live blackworms. I've had it once in a vat I used to store some extra live blackworms. I've fed the same blackworms to my pygmy parents and pygmy fry, no problems as of now. I've also kept a few dragonfly nymphs in my life. Nymphs that size, they can't eat anything harder than meal worms. It can eat cory fins but can't penetrate their armour on the body. I don't think you've lost any pygmy corys yet. Their fins will usually regrow if the origin (caudal peduncle) is not damaged. Just be very careful of infections. I would separate the fish and put some diluted medicine but that's my opinion.
@eurospage1
@eurospage1 2 жыл бұрын
Wow, thank you so much for all that information. So maybe the cory’s I may have lost have probably died from infection rather than being eaten. I will most likely most the injured fish to its own aquarium if I can. Do you think it’s likely they’ll be more of the dragon fly nymphs?
@riki9506
@riki9506 2 жыл бұрын
@@eurospage1 Possibly, but there's no certain way to check other than to strip the tank down, which I'd assume you don't want to do. Nymphs are not that common so there's a good chance there won't be another but could very be hiding in the aquascape. Another option is to remove the fish and any leftover worms from the tank and let the nymph starve to death but that also takes a few weeks.
@eurospage1
@eurospage1 2 жыл бұрын
@@riki9506 I think I may take the tank apart and re-scape at the weekend. Im kinda thinking there must be more in there and don’t want to lose more fish if possible
