I prefer to wash my hair about once a month depending on the state it's in. If I have my hair out and I am styling it with a lot of products then its every other week or every 3 weeks.

Boniswa, i love your content. Styling can be overwhelming but it's all a part of the learning process in growing a healthy vibrant natural hair. I am currently 2 years into the natutal hair journey by the end of this month. However, this is my 3rd attempt (consecutively) after 2 failed trials and i can feel that this is going to be different and a rewarding result. I love your hair.

Beautiful! You don’t see a lot of naturals do this because they often wash their hair every week or two. But for us who only wash once every 4 to 6 weeks, this is definitely worth the effort. Love it! Thanks for sharing.

Is your hair is just 4c? I have 4c hair and my hair looks dry all the time i have low prosivity hair do you moisterise every day

Hey there, I consider my hair to be 4c. Porosity does play a big role in how your hair takes to moisture. Low porosity hair tends to be hydrophobic and expels water. Adding heat may help raise the cuticles allowing moisture in. After applying a moisturizer, covering your hair may hair to deep condition it as your body moves it naturally generates heat therefore moisturising it.

Beautiful hair Boni 😍 (so are you) Question I have, is there a difference between the ends of your hair and the shaft? I finally got my hair to boob length and had to cut because my ends were so dry. when moisturized I couldn't tell the difference but of course they needed to be moisturized more frequently. Was it necessary to cut or should I have kept babying my ends and moisturized them more often like I was.

Absolutely! When it comes to textured hair especially, the roots tend to be more moisturised as the hair is closest to the scalp which produces sebum (natural hair oil). And since type 4 hair is tightly coiled it makes it difficult for the sebum to make its way down the length of the hair to its ends. This is why it's important to focus on the ends when moisturising and tucking the ends away from time to time by way of a protective style. When it comes to whether you should trim your hair, that really depends on the health and condition of your ends. I suggest you evaluate your ends to determine whether there's permanent damaged (are the ends splitting and breaking off? do you notice that your ends are uneven? do you have a lot of single strand knots?). Hope this helps :)
