Your painting looks great! I am currently working on that one as well. Circles done, but don't look as good as yours. 😬 Painting today. I love Andrea too and her videos are fun to watch. She makes me feel like maybe I can do it. Also working on her jellyfish and a few others. Have fun! Subscribed!

Bonne couture

Store your yeast in the freezer. Roll the top down and put a rubberband on it and store it in a Ziplock bag in the freezer. It will last 10 years or more.

I am sewing on the binding. I chose to have a scalloped edge. I did have a sheet of progress and realised that I had packed it away for ten years. I didn’t think my skills were up to it. Now it’s nearly finished. This quilt has taken well over 10 years. I also foundation pieced all but the hand appliqué blocks. I finished the quilt during Covid. Quilting went on hold due to my husband passing and my own health. My friend quilted it for me on her long arm.

Kate is so inspiring! I accidentally started making Halloween hexies in August. I went into the craft room for something else entirely and walked out with Halloween fabric and my hexie punch. Btw, my maiden name is Holloway. My first is Victoria.

I've moved from Northern MI to live with my sons near Nashville, but my heart is still longing to be 'back home.' My sister sent me a Petosky Stone Ring for one of my birthdays and I treasure it. (Every time I see your posts I wonder if your husband is related to the Holloway family from Hazel Park, MI. I know it's a reach, but I'll ask anyway.)

When Canadians say “up north” we are talking about above the Arctic Circle. I remember Susan, the History Quilter talked about going up north, and it turned out she was going to northern California . I laughed at the difference in our perceptions. I don’t remember you making the pear. It is really cute!

I DO love my longarmer! While she is new to her business, she has lots of experience. I count on her advice for thread and quilting designs and give her free reign , trusting her eye. I try to give her plenty of time but she has come through for me the few times I have needed it. I know there are lots of opinions about tips but I include one because she is so good and as as her business picks up, I want her to know I am a loyal customer plus I know she could be charging more. Great video to remind us of the amount of work and overhead involved too. I would be scared to death to do it!

You are good to your longarmer and tipping is always appreciated!! And picks up quilt , she's a real gem! I think some people don't understand the amount of hard physical and mental work longarming is! I didn't know until I started doing it!! And longarming isn't a skill everyone likes and it take a ton to time to learn!!
