Before I even watched, I checked the description for a shop link because I saw packing products in the video title and got excited! Congrats on 1k! That’s so exciting! As for the cake, maybe you can do a mug cake? Less ingredients and only one serving so you don’t have lots left over. As for the cards, I liked the one with the smallest rounded corners. So that’s my vote. I understand what you mean about obsessing over numbers. My Etsy hasn’t been doing so well, but I’m trusting in the Lord and just trying to take it one day at a time. I’m thinking of getting a part time close to home, so hopefully that will help.

Just trusting Gods timing and doing what I can. Have you tried using TikTok to promote your shop? I posted the same content on TikTok and Insta and got way more engagement on TikTok so that might help And a part time job can actually be so much fun. If you choose an office job, a remote one would probably fit the best. Rooting for both of us 🙏🏾🧡

Call one Hezekiah! I had an eighth grade teacher who had a plant named that. Fifty years ago, and I still remember it. So, it's a good name! 😂 Edited to add: I really like how you aren't afraid to admit that you're overwhelmed. You took a break (which is something everyone needs, but most people don't get)! You also said rushing around to do "all the things" results in unnecessary mistakes. That's what I hit subscribe! Also, what kind of praper cutter is that? I like gridlines. My Pilea has a Chinese name NiHao, which means hello and must be the only word in Chinese that I know with Xiexie (=thank you). Why not choosing that one for yours? (I had in mind that this plant comes from China, which can be completely wrong but dumb me sticks to this idea)

It’s alright!!! You stuck to your deadlines to get certain things done. That things got lost in the mail (glad you got them!) and your paperwork still being processed is NONE OF YOUR FAULT. You’re doing everything you can. I was going to say exactly that, work on your shop. That way once you get the green light, you’re ready to go. No having to finish up things last minute and rushing. You can hit that launch shop button and smile. About the bags being too big, I wouldn’t stress too much. It’s been my experience that when it comes to small businesses, people are very understanding. And if the packaging is a bit big, they don’t really mind. Hopefully the next time you order the bags, they’ll be the appropriate size. Outsourcing is very scary I agree! That’s why I haven’t done it yet lol 😅 Take your time, give yourself grace and remember that some things are out of your control and you can take this time to focus on finishing up other tasks. Ty to see this time as a blessing. So glad to see you’re not giving up. We’re rooting for you!

I’ll be focusing on what I can control The bags are honestly so annoying but I don’t have the energy to go back and forth. I’ll use them and look for an alternative in the meantime. I heard there were some eco friendlier alternatives that I wanna look into. But even planning these things is so much fun 😂 I completely understand. Once I have a printer I’ll do things like that myself but I ripped of the bandage haha I still need experience but at least I’m no longer afraid to reach out

Sucks about the shop opening being delayed but it looks like it gave you more time to fine tune things. Not too big, if that's the option you're considering but they could have a translucent or opaque background instead to help improve visibility. The white might blend in a lot with your very serene background.

Oh my goodness! I'm absolutely purchasing that poster with the girlie fishing with Chicken!!! 🥹 I rarely see soft black girly stationery with them just relaxing. I love this so much and I don't care if it's not entirely high quality. 🩷🫶🏽 On my down days, I watch animal videos and save silly animal photos to a dedicated pinterest board. The shape of my mouse definitely helps but I’m paying the price for not paying the price 😂 It keeps disconnected and runs out of battery fast. And no I didn’t not want to code my shop. I was hoping to alter the code of an existing theme. But time is limited 🥹

@@SlowthLiving It's fine right now. You'll keep getting better. I was kind of skeptical of mice (mouses? 😂) like that because I'm already used to the standard shape. It looks a bit comfortable at the wrists though. As long as your site is up and running for purchasing from, a standard template is good for now. I'm just proud you're being so disciplined about your deadline. I look forward to it! 😚🤗

I feel with you... I am from Germany and I just opened my Etsy-Shop... to avoid beeing hunted and caught by lawers you need to follow this list for your small business/Etsy-Shop: 1. register as a small business in your city, 2. get a tax number for your business 3. register with LUCID/get a packaging license (Reclay Systems GmbH is the cheapest for small businesses), 3. in your Etsy-Shop you need to mention the Online dispute resolution plattform, 4. your Etsy-Shop needs an Imprint, 5. in your Etsy-AGB you need to add a 14-day-return policy and a privacy policy. These steps are the most important as I found out.

I think k the stickers look adorable! They look more vintage, at least to me, with that soft look. And the posters are adorable! Please be careful with your paper cutter! I’ve nicked myself a few times by not putting the blade down, it’s a bad habit of mine lol. So I was nervous watching your arm so close to it 🫣 Definitely recommend a good printer but they’re pricey. I can say that the Epson line is good but they have this sneaky thing, at least in the model I got, where once you hit a certain number of printed pages, the printer conveniently won’t work anymore. Nothing wrong with it, they just want you to buy a new one. Found a workaround to that, but it’s a horrible business model on their part. I’d suggest also looking into a cutting machine like Silhouette America. Not sure if they ship to where you live, but the program is free and you could still use it to print even without the cutting machine. I can try to answer any questions you have through Instagram chat if you want! Can’t wait for your shop opening!

Oops 🙊 Yeah the amount of decent printers is kinda overwhelming. And thank you I really appreciate, especially since no one in my family wants to hear about tech and equipment 😂🫶🏾
