Been on the top six times: Sept '78...June, July, Oct '79...June '82...Sept '89. Lots and lots of car tags from OK, TX, and KS in Cuchara during the Summer, many are home owners. My first visit was in July '71. Don't get to go there every year unfortunately, but have made about twenty trips altogether, and have made a few friends there over the years, including the family that started the Dog Bar in 1980. They were originally from Oklahoma City, as am I.

What year did the flood waters wash away Main Street? Bullock Street is now the Main Street down through town. I lived there from 1949-1957. Main Street was washed out then. Enjoyed your videos but you could do away with the loud music in video. It’s very distracting to the video.

Thanks for watching. From the internet "On July 21 of 1895, a massive flood ripped through the city. In the Silver City Enterprise, it was described as “an immense wave 12 feet in height and 300 feet in width, carrying with it everything movable in its path.”

I know it’s been a year since you posted this review. How is the braking system working on your EV? A friend of mine just purchased a 2023 Sirius and the brakes are terrible! The dealer says there is nothing wrong with them. Just wondering if you have to stand on the brakes for it to stop? Thanks!

Yes, the brakes are pretty terrible. I’ve had the dealer adjust them 3 times now and they still aren’t right…

I grew up going to this area with my father in the late eighties and early nineties. We went to Eaglenest so much. I remember one winter ending up in Red River and it was so beautiful covered in snow. My dad obliged me the one time and took me to the St James Hotel; even though we didn't stay, we were given such a cool tour! Every summer of my childhood was spent at YMCA Camp Shaver in the Jemez, right next to Battleship Rock. I am so fortunate to have grown up in this beautiful corner of the world. 🥰

Yeah!! Me too!!! My dad, uncle and I for many years would go to Eaglenest in early July. Back in the mountains west of Eaglenest is a cabin and campground of a boys organization called the Maverick Club. We would get the place ready for the members to visit in July and August before school started. Many memories of hiking and fishing in the area.

This cover is a piece of SHIT! Had one installed on my 22 Silverado it leaked every time it rained I took it back to the dealer who installed it and they worked on it but it still leaked! They gave up and replaced the cover(Took a month before it came in) and it leaked every time it rained! Going back to the dealer again. Do yourself a favor and buy a ten dollar tarp and it will do the same job maybe better?

When I visit my dead I've seen property that no longer has the former business and residential structures of people known to me. I do own relics of same and my childhood. Like a Mexico-made saddle with silver fittings much too small for me today. And I do go look at the East Grand Plains Elementary School as it is today. I'm happy not to have any NMMI history but did serve in a foreign war by volunteering. Also served the USA Military-Industrial Complex overseas. I've retired from the Public Sector.

I'm not sure if this is the correct area I'm thinking of but in 1969 or 70 a friend and I hiked in to possibly this area long before it was a public park and I distinctly remember an area littered with broken pieces of dishes and bullets in all the trees and in one part of the woods there was a stone monument with a rearing horse with a Confederate officer with a chiseled inscription describing how he died when a rattlesnake scared his horse throwing him braking his leg causing infection which caused his death . I've thought of this ever since , do you know of anything about any of this ?

Good review Ron! I test drove every golf cart before ordering my new one. Club Car IMO is the top dog. I think if you are looking for long term reliability and investment Club Car is your top pick. I think for features and room the Sirius Star EV is the best. I ordered a 2022 lifted Star EV and love it. I am 6ft 190lbs and this is the only Golf Cart I can drive comfortable. Club Car and all the rest when there are two people there is just no room. We also ordered the Lithium and if you can pull off the price it is hands down the best. I had the Golf Cart fully charged and it sat 3 month's before the next time we used it and still fully charged. Thank's to covid the wait time was over a year and now things have changed so I am buying a side by side with dump bed and selling the Golf Cart. If it were not for that this golf cart is amazing and is definitely a top contender.
