I do this but with 3, 6 inch read steps and the beauty of it is the coach can close his eyes, and if everyone is doing it properly, there is a sound that occurs. Not as much on grass as on turf, but it is still there. On turf, I just love to hear that sound with this drill. Gives me goosebumps sometimes.

I was not familiar with that 2-hand technique -- down on the ball, up on the elbow. Thanks. Unfortunately in the years since this was put up, high and tight carriage has become more popular, and this technique is likely less effectve against that.

This is the opposite of proper cuing. QBs should always be taught to release up and out, not pull down. Pulling down encourages slashing and poor extension, which then results in poor velocity and accuracy. The proper cue should always be “out, not down.” Biomechanically, pulling down doesn’t help, but extension is everything on the release.

That’s incorrect about the way you should move your feet. You should thrust off the front foot when moving back and keep your base to throw off your back

Most quarterbacks can throw 50. A few can throw 60. Very rare that can throw 70. No legit show case of any quarterback throwing 80. In NFL quarterback challenge says there was one, but never shows it. Everything else is all talk.

If the corner is inside the outside #1 WR, the corner will get blocked on bubble plays. The outside #1 WR will have good angle on blocking the corner. No good. I'll throw that all day

That's why the corner should be to the outside. Not inside. The backer won't make that play on a bubble. The corner can't play both slot and outside WR in a cover 3.

@@davidortiz4492 Scheme wise if the offense is in a 2X2 set and the defense is in Cover 3, I can assure you they wont throw the bubble. Now in Trips, that is a different story. Also, He can play both if he is at the midpoint

Not going to work, here in Miami these OC's would eat that alignment up. I've been coaching 24 years with 2 state championships as a DC. There's so many things that would beat that assignment play.

At 1:08 you say that you should make a back foot movement moving backward. But then how about when a QB is moving forward? You showed two different things. When the QB is coming from a back movement to a front movement shouldn't they use their front foot? At 1:11 is also a reference point

I feel you i costed my middle team the game cause i was playing safety playing we played cover 2 in 2 minute mark Opponents trying to march up the field to score we played cover 2 and tried not to get beat over top and protect out of bound since threy have no timeouts I was lineup right side of the field i saw the wr take a wide post i bit it the sended a hb wheel since I bit the post The rb was wide and he was basically their receiving back so he caught it with ease milking the clock before he manages to get in the endzone for a touchdown after kick off qb throw interception end the game

True, but this video was posted in 2014 and looks like it was recorded years before that. Most football programs, including USA Football, have updated their tackling system and hitting techniques in the last couple years to limit the amount of head injuries.

Disagree I think the ball should be hidden in your pelvis area so the linebackers don’t see it. Holding it up high linebackers and DBs can see that. Hide that ball with the other hand and ride hip to hip with your eyes
