I think the greatest play I’ve ever seen in Hilton was a steal by Curtis Stinson who throws it ahead to Will Blalock who behind-the-back no look passes it to Rahshon Clark for the dunk. That was pretty incredible.

Offense is rated 127th right now (scoring). Worse than at the toughest part of the Rhoads era. Nate S needs to reason with Matt that it needs to be opened up. Stick to a bad run game is the express lane to 2-10.

I think it should be against the rules for any team to wear a color on their uniforms that isn't one of their school colors. Dad complaining about the black and white uniforms while wearing a black and white cyclone hat is kinda ironic.

Hawk fan here- good chat. Agree with most of what you’ve said about both teams. However… Agree with Dad- be proud of your school colors. Granted ketchup & mustard aren’t the best, but go copy the Chief’s uniforms- you’ll look nice! Iowa’s offense isn’t great, that’s for sure. But ISU’s defense is very good. I was impressed. One thing that separates Iowa’s defense from the ‘clones is how Iowa generates turnovers. That’s a huge part of what they do. It isn’t luck, it’s positioning, scheme, & effort. Also Iowa kept running the ball, knowing it wasn’t going to do much once they had the lead. That’s what they do to shorten games. It’s part of the plan to let defense & special teams win the day. Belton absolutely punched that ball out of Hall’s hand. Punched him in the hand, in fact. That’s why he dropped it. Iowa fans can be condescending, sure. But also realize there’s been a whole lot of chirping about Purdy winning a Heisman and other nonsense. So giving crap goes both ways. Sorry Dad has an issue with ANF. Iowa still gets on TV more than ISU, so promoting family farms isn’t a bad thing. Also it’s a beloved tradition given to us by Hayden Fry. It’s not about ISU in any way. And your AHF is super tacky (while also true). Good luck the rest of the way, ‘clones! Hope you do well in all your games. One state, one family.

Iowa DID do what they have done to ISU the past six games. They just sit back and wait for ISU to walk over and hand them the game........And ISU does it every single time.

I believe that Iowa State just gets too pumped up for this game in the wrong way. They believe that they have to win this game. Too much thinking about winning the game and less attention to personal execution. They should just go out there and have fun, their a great team, with a lot of talent. John Wooden talked about this many times! I’ve been a fan of both teams for years now. I was surprised about how that late third quarter played out. Thought that State could get back in to it, especially when the backup came in and connected on almost all of his passes. Missed field goal sunk it.

Your dad was ahead of his time as a HS coach. Emphasized space and pace, avoiding low percentage 2's, running secondary breaks off makes, looking for 3's and dunks. And just a good guy. I enjoy listening to him talk bball.
