Car looks super nice. I have a 2019 with E6 Carbon aerokit, and 21'' Advan GTs. I was thinking about upgrading to PPE EL headers (had them on my RCF and the power difference was very noticeable with Tunedby Loi tune). I know the Blitz intake is super pricey, but have you noticed any difference in power with it?
@javrabbit26 күн бұрын
@@muayboran4life i had an RC F with equal length headers too. I was also tuned by Loi at the time. In an older video i posted, i compare maf reading and the blitz does breathe better than oem system. You wont feel a power difference but the induction noise is louder. The one thing i noticed in my last racing video was that with the top covers on, the intake air temp doesnt go down as fast. So whenever I plan on driving hard, i run the car without the intake covers. As for the Blitz intake, if you buy it from blackhawkjapan you can save a bunch of money compared to the US sellers. Personally, id recommend doing the rear diff swap. You’ll feel the difference. I posted a recent video reviewing the rear diff swap performance as well.
@muayboran4life25 күн бұрын
@javrabbit Nice! I miss my performance pkged RCF with the trick TVD (not that I ever pushed the car, but loved knowing that it was there if I ever needed it). Biggest difference I noticed was when I replaced the stock 21" wheels with super lightweight Advan GTs. I was contemplating on getting an exhaust but I really love the way stock LC sounds; so probably not going to mess with the stock unless I get a hell of a deal on Tom's, or Novel racing system. Can I put that diff on an LC that didn't come with a diff?
@javrabbit25 күн бұрын
@ i would really check blackhawkjapan for all things. My Varis kit i got each piece for about 1k cheaper per item, than buying from the american resellers. Novel exhaust midpipe and axleback 6100 on blackhawk compared to 8000 everywhere else. If you dont see a part on their website, just shoot them an email and they will add it for you. Ive bought my exhaust, blitz intake and Varis kit from them. And yup you can hybrid diff swap on any LC. Its all plug and play! You can read up more on the forums www.clublexus.com/forums/lc-model-2018-present/925959-replacing-lc500-torsen-diff-with-lc500h-one.html

@@jemramos321 great question. you want to be in control when your car breaks traction. In auto, the car would keep up shifting when traction is broken and the harshness from shifting into the next gear can cause the car to completely lose control. The car also doesn’t shift at highest rpm in auto. Its more fun to use the paddles and try to perfect your shift points at max rpm.

@@canoeshoe yea man the LC is a marathon runner, not a sprinter. Massive range, and undeniable reliability
@javrabbitАй бұрын
@@canoeshoe for sure these events you race to see who gets highest mph not who crosses the line first but yeah if i showed the list of cars racing, you’d see the LC was severely underpowered against 98% of the cars at the event. So we just go to have a fun time. Even the fast guys still come over and check out our cars and show love. Its hitting off the rev limiter because the wheels cant find traction, if i upshift early before the wheels stop spinning the car will bog like it did in 2 of the runs where it starts 3rd gear at a low rpm and i lost all momentum. We have to remember the LC is a grand touring car and gets out performed by most cars in its price range. We buy the LC because we just love the total package of the car and the brand/reliability, not because we want to be fast.
@edward101697Ай бұрын
Great runs. I find the runs against the RCF the most interesting. I typically see RCFs walking away from LCs, but it was real close. The gearing on the LC really helps compensate for the weight. Now I'm wondering, how much would light weight wheels help the LC? I find the BBS RI-D in 21 the most compelling option for wheels. Made in Japan, forged, impeccable quality, and weight reduction of about 10lbs per corner. Let me know what your thoughts are on wheel options
@javrabbitАй бұрын
@@edward101697 thanks dude! i bet reducing that unsprung weight would help a ton! I also have the LC Hybrid differential swapped into the car, so that probably played a part too. I do want to get wheels eventually and have eyeballed BBS and the TRD LC wheels (not sure how much lighter they are). Getting a custom oil cooler added is probably higher on my list at the moment because the car severely needs one. But yeah the race with the RC F was really interesting, with these 2UR-GSE cars whoever’s car is “happier” at the moment, will go faster. For example, if you look at my phone during the races you’ll see the car pulling timing for most of the races (Top left square). -3 means no ping detected. Anything more negative than -3 is pulling timing, anything greater than -3 is adding ignition timing. So some races you see the car is fine with adding timing, but most the time its pulling timing, especially in the higher gears. All fun though!

Did you need to do a remap for the ECU or gearbox timing after swapping the diff?
@javrabbitАй бұрын
@@SamiKhan-hn3uk i made no changes to the ECU. The shifts points are slightly higher under certain throttle. You dont really notice it under light acceleration.
