Great video. I don't believe I can breed Trout in this part of SE Texas. It may get too hot here for them. I'll do some research. If I can't breed them, I can see how this process would work for other fish that are better for this region.

Do you live in high altitude? I went to a trout farm and they said you can only breed trout above a certain elevation. Is that true?

it's so awkward how you're trying to show this off without revealing any information about how you are doing anything. especially since you are apparently trying to resell the training taught to you at the trout hatchery, but treating it like your own secret moneymaking technology.

@@kingkarlito I see what you’re saying, but let’s be realistic. Most of KZbin, TikTok and other social medias are just advertising, trying to sell a product. I get this dude has done great things but I have 0 interest in videos like this

Pangasius fish is an alternative to cod and haddock which are often produced through sustainable fishery. There is no way to further increase supply of white fish through fisheries. So your alternative will be farmed white fish such catfish, barramundi and tilapia. Catfish and tilapia have no need for fish meal to meet their basal nutritional needs and can be met entirely with plant-based protein. The species itself is not the issue, it is the practice

Very impressive! I have been raising Blue Tilapia in my basement. They aren't old enough to breed yet. I hope to set up a setting so they will do this naturally. I have approximately 100 fingerlings and a bit larger in 55 & 65 gallon tanks. My larger fish are in a 300 gallon tank. My other 300 gallon is growing plants. These fish are quite rough on plants. 😅

I'm building a winter greenhouse in Northern US climate. I plan to do an aquaponics system with trout and this is what I would like to do. (Fish pond in the ground outside, and a mixture of grow beds outside and some in the greenhouse. We have long cold winters with several feet of snow. Do you ever have any problems with the pump pulling solids from the bottom of your pond? Most setups have the fish tank at the highest point and the overflow lifts the solids. What pump do you use, and do you target a certain amount of water changes per hour for the fish? I've been watching your videos for years and this system is fantastic. I plan to pump from the fish tank into a solids filter in my greenhouse, into some grow beds, and possibly into a DWC. I would have the DWC set at such a height to flow back to the fish pond.
