I wonder if it originally was meant to be a CTR coaster but there was a licensing issue last minute that made them change it enough to be legally distinct.

One thing I know for sure is that the main designer of this ride really loves Crash Bandicoot Games 🕹️ I don’t know if the park asked about a licensing agreement but I doubt it.

The Van Helsing indoor roller coaster is located in the hall of the former studio tour. This is where Alf from the planet Melmac saved visitors from the Gremmlins when the park was still under the management of Warner Brothers. As a souvenir from this time, the Movie Park has hidden one of the old Alf figures in a vehicle at the edge of the roller coaster. Basically as a hidden Easter egg. Did you spot Alf during the ride? Greetings from Germany.

@AmusementExplorer Alf was a US sitcom from the late 80s. The series was very popular in Germany. The attraction was called 'Gremmlin Invasion" A kind of Hollywood tour through former film sets. Alf led the visitors through the attraction, with lots of danger and action.
