I have 1 100ah 12.8v lifepo4 battery that has mainly been running my 12v refrigerator for about 3 years 24/7. 300 watts of solar charging it. Also for 1 to 2 lights at night and device charging. I am installing a diesel heater this coming weekend and wondering if I have enough battery to run it. I'm in Arizona so I'll mostly run it before bed and in the morning for a while. I subscribed to your channel. Thank you.

I am looking into a cheap plastic tote that I can slot for the hose and intake to put over it when it is snowing or raining. I did stay out one night last week and used a cardboard box and it work well....beside getting a bit soggy. I think a tote will work great.

Yeah, I ran this one for several hours this past summer when it was hot out. I had zero smell issues during this cold weather test. I am reluctantly looking forward to when the weather gets really cold for a hard sub-zero (25-35 degrees below zero) test.

@ I’m using a 200 watt heater that runs continuously powered by 4500 wh Pecron battery system. Enough heat to keep a teardrop camper warm during cold 20 degree nights. Then use the Pecron 500 watt car battery DC charger to charge it back up when I drive to next location. My travels consist of getting up traveling to a new location and finding a camp by 4 pm repeat. This might not work if you have a roof top tent that is poorly insulated.

You didn't mention fuel . Yes it is a diesel fuel . But, if you can use either straight kerosene, or a mixture of the 2 fuels , it will help to prevent/reduce carbon build up . Also didn't mention high altitude settings. It can be used not only for high altitudes, but also for milder weather when you only need a small amount of heat .
@Montana_Outdoor_Adventures

I seriously researched the kerosene mix, but at almost 7 dollars a gallon...nope. Red diesel it is. Did a test (no video) at about 8700 feet a few eeks ago, zero issues, we'll see how it performs at altitude in extreme cold here in a few weeks. Thanks for the comment.

Moving air has less pressure than still air, therefore the gap in the inlet will still draw air from the bottom of the case. So don’t expect that to keep fuel container warm.

Nice install I was looking at the original ones in the 70's and 80's for my Semi tractor before the cdh was available and they were $1400.00. Wish these were available then I wouldn't have spent so much money in lay overs in the northern tier. These type were only made by two companies in Europe and the design goes back to the late 30's.

I actually thought of that, but there just was not enough room, and the heater fan and fuel pump would have been unacceptably load.
