Fuck this DAW. I use to know this riddim kid way back in 2011. He was producing in Reason. Why is this random DAW the father of riddim?

because reasons native synths/plugins are what make that iconic og riddim sound from 2013-2017 era because thats what the people who pioneered that sound started on... thankfully reason made reason rack extension that works with every other daw

BRIKZ, I love your ish, question on your sub though, does it matter that the sub LFO shape isnt exactly the same as the maelstrom? Ive been trying to figure out how to run a separate sub channel and first did the whole clone the whole instrument + low pass it (serum way)...but this way seems way more effective.

You should use ghost notes so that when u double click on them when in an other middi it changes you to that synth

The drum pattern makes a song riddim rather than the speed of the mid basses. Just cause the sound design sounds wet and is a square wave doesn’t make it riddim

Riddim starts for rhythm. It’s from Jamaica. It’s all about the groove which is drums, the drums make the song riddim which is a kick clap combo, not the sound design. There are many different types of riddim

Usually either your lfos arent on trigger/envelope orr theres a motion happening on a phaser somewhere that you want to freeze.. on serum a lotta times its the rand knob

DB doesnt really matter as long as you arent audibly clipping, i just pay attention to LUFs
