That is exactly what I was thinking of doing but hadn't seen it. Great set up. I plan on setting mine up for a spooky Halloween train also. Thanks for sharing, now I know what train I need also.

Thank you so much for inspiring me with your DIY PVC track, this method looks easy enough. i am going to make a haunted ghost town this Halloween and use this as coal mine cars. then repurpose it back and have it going around an ice pond with ice skating polar bears and penguins!!!!

These are so underrated. I love my 4runner. But I feel like you can beat these up more without worry and they’re cheaper to build. Like way cheaper. A good ifs setup on the 4runner costs a second mortgage.
@uncledingovlogs7 ай бұрын
I agree very underrated. I also love 4runners but just to buy an old stock one costs a fortune. And double that to modify it. This truck will and has been an amazing family toy with minimal investment

@uncledingovlogs Жыл бұрын
Does your layout have a lot of elevation change? If it's mostly flat I don't see why you couldn't get traction. You could try wrapping some electrical tape around the drive wheels or along the track to make more traction

Nice job. What is keeping the train on the track? Why doesn't it derail?
@uncledingovlogs Жыл бұрын
The wheels have a lip on the inside, that's how it "rides the rails" same as it works on the rail tracks it comes with. Check out my new video from last year

@@uncledingovlogs I couldn't see that, but i see it on your 2nd video. Thanks. Looks like you replaced your pvc track with the amazon track. I thought your pvc track was great! Nice job again. I've built ferris wheels and skating rinks. Looking to add a similar setup.
@uncledingovlogs Жыл бұрын
The PVC worked okay but if it warped at all I had a lot of derails. The factory tracks work flawless so I took advantage of that got more pieces when they were available. Eventually I'd like to figure out how to 3d print pieces
@italianballbreaker Жыл бұрын
@@troybower9419how did you make the Ferris wheel ? Was it a kit !
@troybower9419 Жыл бұрын
@@italianballbreaker not a kit. Although i ended up making dozens of kits and selling them once people saw my ferris wheel. I used 1" PVC. Use an octagon calculator to help you determine what size ferris wheel you want. Construct the octagon using PVC and 45 degree fittings. With octagon laying flat on ground, lay PVC at each 45 degree fitting to make your spokes. Pipe will go from the fitting towards the center hub which is built out of aluminum or plywood. The hub should have a hole thru the center for your axel, i used 1" steel pipe. Use pillow blocks to keep the ferris wheel on the axel. Use a slip ring to power lights. I can help more if you need. This is a start.
