You can order a 2 ft extension bar to properly secure the 14´bin into the 16´trailer or if you have a 20´ trailer you can get a 4-6´ extension bar and hook 16´ or 14´ bins.

It was starting to rain. The yard was borderline soft. I did not want the can to roll off the blocks and sink in the yard. Should we have put 45sq in? Probably not however there was a bin and a dump trailer onsite. The crew filled the bin up first thinking it was ok. I was not going to make them remove it. Not to mention the trailer handled it well.
@RideNew244 ай бұрын
Respectfully, With a load that size, a snatch block is a must. Standing that close, turns that cable into a deadly weapon without a snatch block. I am actually impressed this system was capable of loading that much roofing material. Don't let the chance of rain jeopardize your safety, or the safety of others around you. Just Saying. Not trying to be rude.

Did you say you leave the truck in neutral when pulling on the trailer?
@firstname62087 ай бұрын
if you have an automatic trans, you hit the e brake, block the wheels (trailer and truck), put trans in neutral. bigger machinery can rock the vehicle and break the park paul in the trans, heavy machines can lift the rear wheels on the truck and down the hill you go.
@srsroofingandsiding7707 ай бұрын
Yes. Usually the weight of the bin pulls the truck and trailer to it. Avoids breaking the parking pin in the transmission

Main con about these they are expensive to scale otherwise looks good. Doing my research now and a 14 yard is$5750 while another brand like a texas pride is 4445 for a 15yard 16ft. $1200 in just one dumpster.

A rope block helps- letting truck stay in neutral- with the trailer front tires chocked - decrease your lift angle - use the weight of the load to pull the trailer under the can - lot of stress to frame do it like this - but bottom line you got it done good job

With that trailer what is the average weight of the load itself? Also could you haul a portable shed with the trailer?

Not sure on the portable shed. Average weight of load is 2 tons from a contractor. Homeowners 1 ton or less. These figures are not always accurate. Sometimes more sometimes less. I’ve hauled as much as 7 ton. Trailer is capable of more.
