Its a blessing to hear such great musicians. I played drums in a band in Stolckholm. Sweden and we covered Allman songs, this one was a favourite for me.

first I want to thank my parents for everything; and second my friends for playing this song while we cruised around getting high in the early 70's. High school years we didn't have a care in the world. I was too young for Vietnam, literally dodged that bullet, may the guys who fought and died in that war rest in peace.

As a guitarist, if someone ask me what sound would you like to have of any other guitarist. I would say Warren Haynes early to mid 90’s. He is a tone monster.

Walked into the Seminole Casino in Immokalee Florida one night couple years ago to play some poker. Sat down and who is sitting two seats over ? Dickey Bettes. His wife was with him. Very nice. I knew who he was immediately, but I dont think many other people actually recognized who he was. Had some laughs - couldn't have been a nicer guy.

I saw them live in Chicago, Illinois at the Autotorium. People back then used to say Dwane played the guitar 🎸 so fast his fingers blurred. It wasn't true but &e did play well and fast. Now it's 2024 nearly the end of September. My how time flys!🎉 Exciting band.

Dickey Betts was just a country boy with ability to play a guitar.Fate brought him into the circle of other country boys with musical abilities, and the Allman Brothers Band was born.Duane Allman is listed as the number two greatest guitarist of all time, and Jimi Hendrix holds the number one spot. But,I want to tell you that Duane Allman was constantly learning from Dickey Betts, and he from Duane.Dickey Betts has always been extremely underrated and inadequately recognized and respected since day one of his career. He’s gone now, but his music is still very much alive to the people who loved him and his work.

I love ABB, been a fan since the early 70, when I first heard Live at the Fillmore. Being a drummer I’ve had the pleasure of being in a ABB tribute band in Stockholm some years ago. I always loved playing this tune .
