Oh damn, Pirates of Dark Water was some crazy stuff. As a kid, it was probably the 'darkest' thing on TV for kids I could see at the time. Had a couple toys of it too. This series was like lck and lec combined their worst flaws. The horrible execution on plays from lec and the extremely boring nothing happens forever playsytle from lck xD No clue why c9 went so pussy. They actually remind me of tes this year. Dominate regular season and freeze up in playoffs if anything bad happens

I don't know why people forget Faker was doing really well against chovy until recently. Yeah you could argue that Chovy had the weaker team by virtue of him losing, but even outside team play there were often times where Faker just looked more in control and had more map wide influence. Chovy would stack his cs but then disappear with his massive cs score and have little impact. His team is much better now and he can take those leads and deal massive dmg. He is definitely one of the best, but I'm not going to ignore what he was like in the past when debating if he's currently overtaking Faker as the goat. Saying "it was easier to win worlds" in the past is valid if you're talking average skill level, but I take issue when that's used to say those championships could be outweighed by a smaller amount of championships now. Faker won those, while being himself a part of that era. He didn't learn in the current era off the back of years of pro play and take a time machine back to stomp a young league. You have to prove you were the best in the world, multiple times against your contemporaries, for as long, or longer than anyone else. To me it's logically obvious that a burst of success, or a higher personal ceiling doesn't make you the goat if it's not proven to be applicable over time. Personally I'd have to see Chovy not only win multiple worlds showing he was the best, and part of the best team, for multiple years, but he'd also have to show his staying power and adaptability across many years outside of recent metas. It means something when you get consistently knocked out on the international stage, even if you're consistent in recent years in your home league.
