Oh and one more comment - do you find noodling (ripping as some say) a better option than one split with a maul (which take three or four swings given the size and grain, etc.)?

Nice work! When noodling cut 1/2 way and pop the rounds with a maul or axe. It will save you a bunch of saw time 💪🏻

Some nice trees in the background. Definitely sawmill worthy stuff. . The chainsaw has enough power and short enough bar you could try a 8tooth sprocket. Only side affect is its easier to throw when the chain gets loose. It just speeds up the chain a little.

Speaking of stickers - do you offer any from your channel for sale. I recently retired and am getting back into my workshop and want to adorn my door and tools with them. Another good video - thanks for sharing. I carry a small hatchet for knocking in wedges and a quick small brunch bucking I need to do without having to start the chainsaw for a quick missed cut. Thanks for sharing and honoring the veterans with your comments.

Nice Looking Big Oak Rounds. I bet you will get at Least a Face Cord and More. I am a Veteran Retired from the Police here in upstate NY. Retired about 10years ago. So now to keep me More Busy and active, Lawn Work, Tree Work, and the BIG ONE FIREWOOD. Just getting back in the Woodyard Tomorrow or Wednesday as I had an Heart Attack. So now instead of all Day Doing Logs, I am Limited to 2hours a Day. Absolutely no more. I will be fine and have to Listen to my Cardiologist. At 72yrs I am fairly well Physically Fit. Keep up your Great Video's my Friend and see you at the Next one. Ron

The chain was a little loose. That puts more wear on the bar, and then it will cut like a stihl. The 390xp cuts fast but will wear you out faster.
