hi, great video. I can find the underwater white balance setting on my dji osmo 4. i only have automatic and manual mode. Any ideas?
@TheExtraTerrestrial6 ай бұрын
Thanks! I just got an Osmo Action 4, and like it so far! Do you happen to know what is the best setting to use for stills for the aspect ratio? For example, if I set it to 4:3, is it just cropping to that size? I'd like to use the full, native size of the sensor to capture the most, and crop later if needed.
@ashtonderojas8214 ай бұрын
Best would be to use 4:3 for stills unless you know you plan on taking a wide angle shot in 16:9 of something huge from a distance (shipwreck, reef or kelp forest etc.) ahead of time. The big downside to action cameras is that you can't change the aspect ratio or other settings once you're underwater.

hi, I am struggling with the colours of the underwater when I'm snorkeling... the water colour turns from blue to greenish colour too often while I snorkel, the colours change too much in a matter of seconds. How can I correct that on my Osmo Action 4 ? thanks

Thanks for infos, i think for underwater photography, you need to manage shutter speed because subjects move always and also your flotability can be shaky sometimes (varies many underwater factors). For photography, i tested with shaky gesture or small subjects movement and around 1/160 or 1/200 , they are enough sharp. Below, they start to blur. Videography is another topic.

I have a few comments to add: I got a DJI OSMO ACTION 3 recently to film my SCUBA dives in the Philippines N.B.: The camera was able to take a 512Gb SanDisk Ultra SDCard without any issues whatsoever 1) I used an underwater case I bought from Amazon 2) I shot in 2.7K @ 60fps 3) My case fogged up about 10 minutes into the dive 4) My camera overheated about 40 minutes into the dive 5) My battery lasted the duration of all dives (up to 72 minutes) SO 1) I continued to use the underwater case 2) I continued to shoot in 2.7K @ 60fps 3) I FLOODED my case on the surface with FRESH DRINKING WATER 4) My camera case did not fog up at all during the dives 5) My camera did not overheat at all during the dives 6) The FRESH water in the case was quite HOT when we emptied it (good for washing hands) 7) My battery lasted the duration of all dives (up to 72 minutes) 8) The lens protector was NOT waterproof even within the case @ 1ATM 9) After each dive I needed to remove the lens protector to wipe away condensation 10) At night I left the camera open (all ports) to get rid of any water incursion 11) The camera lasted through 12 dives over 3 days (1 battery per dive) 12) The camera is working fine right now Thanks for the settings. The camera was driving us crazy by turning off screens, cutting off recordings, blanking out, etc... Hopefully your tutorial will help avoid the above problems For those reading along, I like to look through the rear screen as I dive and want it on at all times during my ~1 hour dives. I do not like screens blanking out because the lens of the DJI OSMO Action 3 is offset to the left, which makes it hard to frame shots with a blank screen. In the Dive case, the touch screen is not available, only the shutter and on/off buttons are. I have just bought a ring light to affix to the dive case, for better macro video

great little video, a few tips is no drones are allowed in Kakadu if caught you can cop a fine, and how come you don't like bait being used to feed the crocs
@backpackerhumpback2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, mate! I think when we were there, it was in 2018, there were only certain areas of the national park where drone were forbidden, at least we didn't see signs everywhere. Regarding the baits, it's the idea of luring an animal with food for the entertainment of humans and also the potential consequences, like them associating boats with food, etc. there's certainly better alternatives

Hello, May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, & a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." Also, can I share Isaiah 53:5 " But HE was WOUNDED For our TRANSGRESSIONS, he was BRUISED for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His STRIPES we are HEALED." God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then, to grow up & die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus & put your true faith & trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name)& stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?

For anyone thinking of stopping over in Armidale: This is the WORST part! Armidale is a lovely place to visit, but you have to be prepared for religious nuts to stop you on the street daily. The city is a beautiful place, really showcasing the best of inland Australia, with a surprisingly good selection of quality restaurants and local stores. There are around 20 churches, though, so the concentration of overly zealous preaching can be a little frustrating if you're not expecting it.

I luv the tiny house cabin. I think 4 the loft I would make the ceiling vaulted, so some1 could sleep up there & have space 2 walk around. I would have stairs going up 2 it, no ladder. Also, I would lighten up the inside, because it feels 2 dark. I would also change the lighting. Overall, it's an awesome place & is good craftsmanship. I also like the fact that it's in the woods & u can have some semblance of peace & quiet. I would also have 2 have a tv.
@backpackerhumpback2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that would be awesome, but for a short period accomodation it's more than enough. To live we would also prefer to have more space downstairs and a loft to sleep 😀
