As someone who used to live in Irvington, it's nice to see my area of New York still being shared in stories.

What makes this truly scary is that lovecraft is this guy. He has the nervous afflictions, the dreams of alien origin driving him mad. It was all real, to him

Good short story but the protagonist made me laugh a couple times, and I dunno if it was Lovecrafts intention to make him such a funny individual.

It's wild to hear Dagoth Ur speak in a dialect. Not just that the AI can make him both use a dialect and sound like himself in a dialect, all with limited sample dialog! Did you spell words out phonetically so he said them like that? Some creators lazily forget to edit out him mispronouncing key words like his own name or Nerevar, it breaks the magic... this is incredible. This is what AI is for, for silly fun, not for taking jobs!

Every now and then, you see something that makes you sit up and go "wow, what a weirdly specific confluence of my own personal niche interests." I re-listened to an audio book of The Mound for the first time in years the other day. By sheer coincidence, I also recently started my first playthrough of Morrowind for the first time in the better part of 20 years. Then this video pops up. It's almost like modern corporations spy on us or something.

I love this story. It strikes me as sad but beautiful: here is Iranon, the far wanderer, seeking his lost home. But the truth is that there is no lost home, no beautiful city, just a child with a dream too strong to die. At the end, I think he may have been walking toward the final resting place of all dreamers(be that heaven or some equally wonderful place), and _that_ was the city he’d dreamed of all this time. In his final moments, it wasn’t just the fancy of a child; it was real… and so the man, though he had no home, no possessions, and no family, died with a smile upon his face
