Daisy was a beautiful cow. Was that her first calf also? What could have been done differently to save the calf & Daisy. Could a vets intervention sooner have helped? Maybe by a couple of days sooner? How vould you know she & the calf were in stress? Should a vet have been called out a week before she was due? I come from a ranching family. They would watch their cattle very closely. Bulls were put in with cows when they were in heat, so you knew when they were bred. We use to have a finder bull for that. He never really bred very often himself. That was what he was used for . All in all a very nice job done from what I saw. Great measures to maje Daisy comfortable before the procedure was done. R.I.P. Daisy girl & calf. Sorry for their loss.😢❤❤❤

Wonder how an earth ship would do in New Zealand. Willing to bet still better than any standard modern building.

I know it’s four years ago BUT the veterinarian is an absolute joke and the video showed F**K all!

This seems a pretty cruel solution and one that could result in injury to the goat or other goats around it. It would be better to fix your fence up rather than this

Also, be aware that stacked tyres like that can entrap heads when they shift. So imagine the head gets trapped under more than one tyre….not pretty. As in, between the bottom tyre and the top 3 or 4.

Cold black tea kills maggots. It is also astringent so won't harm but may help with healing somewhat. Also use for sore eyes.

Our goat has a reoccuring hoof fungus. We've been spraying her foot with 1/2 bleach and 1/2 water, she's responding really well. What helps is she's a house goat so she gets immediate attention. Come on, talk to the goat, they need reassurance too. You're good but you're too clinical. Talk to those babies you tramatize them with your heavy hand.

Early research told me you need a minimum of 6000 v and 8 joules for goats, so bought 9000v 10 joule unit and all wire and connections capable of carrying the voltage, also important that earths are set up as recommended. That with proper training, ie permanent post and wire mesh fence, that they can't get through, wired with 3 strands electric and train them in there for at least a week. After that haven't had a single breach on 3 and even 2 poly strands also never turn you fence off and check function at least daily.

Please don’t take this as a hate comment but both of the girls in the video were wearing tennis shoes wich is extremely dangerous and when they were going over the jump they were leaning far too much causing them to be off balance

Ours had a natural spring that kept it full all year around, combined with a high water table we didn't need to line with anything. Base was already sand.
