Well, that price is significantly below the median in this area, so it's all relative, I guess. But lots of people love living in this part of Virginia., though it's not for everyone. 🙂

@@GreaterRestonLiving AB35 is a Law Passed In California and moving people into large complexes and look in several city's where the builds have been done 11 in Northern CA and discouraging people from driving by taking and downsizing parking to make people feel uncomfortable driving and discouraging people from driving. Just like in Berkeley CA. where they have taken away parking spaces and made one way streets like the biggest hardware store in Berkeley and limited parking all over. University and a couple blocks from Shattuck Ave. I love that hardware store cause you can find things that people really need yet many blocks have very limited parking. It is all under Green Agenda. Agenda 21 and Agenda 2030 and Agenda 30 X 30 which means returning Lands in States will be owned by the government not private people. Also Land Trusts the Land Trusts are owned by the Trusts and in many cases sold for profit back to the government thus the land owners who sign away to the Land Trusts do not realize that they do not own the property anymore. Than the government can take away permission to visit if they choose especially places like Yosemite.

Gotcha. Looks like that law is all about healthcare liability and not related. Not sure what it has to do with a condo in Reston, VA but maybe I'm missing something.

Thanks so much, they are super-fun to do and I have a fantastic videographer that makes me look good...LOL! The trail is in Lake Fairfax Park. That scene is close to the start of the trail which you can access from the rear parking area of Skate Quest off of Michael Faraday Drive near Sunset Hills and Wiehle Ave. It's a very popular trail with mountain bikers and they have added quite a bit to it in recent years.

Thank you! My videographer is a master with the drone and uses it in unique ways. Yes, Reston and Northern Virginia in general are such great places to live. Sure there's congestion and such, but we think the pros outweigh the cons! 🙂

Actually, the Savoy's condo prices can be quite reasonable for what you get.

Hmm...you must be thinking of another place. The Vienna Inn in Vienna, VA is a restaurant and is intended to be a bit of a dive bar as part of its charm. There are no rooms for rent.

Maybe the wolf trap motel that was torn down.

Thanks for weighing in, Michelle. I'm glad you found an area to live that is right for you. This is why we did a pros and cons video for the area. We live here and love it here, but those looking for a less urban/suburban lifestyle may prefer another location.

@@GreaterRestonLiving Reston and Northern Virginia is for " younger career minded people." I lived in Reston, Va Annandale, and Fairfax, Va. Last place was South Riding, Va. We kept moving west. Reston, Great Falls is very nice, but we moved to an area near the beach and more affordable. Right now Florida is booming! We bought a house in 2005 in Northeast Fl and our home has appreciated over $250,000.00. We do go back to Va to visit family, and the best part of Northern Virginia are the beautiful Wineries! Again, Reston is nice, but I feel its for 20 30 and 40 year olds who are career climbing. We did that and now want no more snow, but we do go back to visit once a year! Va is a beautiful state.

One thing's for certain in Reston, things are always changing. Still, when is the last time you spent time in Lake Anne? There's been a revival of the community over the last 5 - 10 years, I'd say. So many great multi-cultural events, restaurants, Lake Anne Brew House, and a number of mom-and-pop boutique stores. If it's been a while you should try and pop by again soon and check it out.

I Revisited about a month ago of this post, and to my amazement, very little seem to have changed. The Safeway's gone the bank next to the Safeway is gone and the pharmacy is gone. but if it wasn't for people wearing modern-day clothes I would think I was walking through there in the early 89's.

​@@GreaterRestonLivingAlot is changing in Reston except for Lake Anne. I talked to the owner of one of the restaurants in that Plaza about a month ago, and I was shocked how long he's been in business there.
