Shiloh the first day: Sherman: "So, we had the Devil's own day, did we"? Grant: "Yep". "Lick them tomorrow, though". I do give credit to General Prentiss Divsion, who, along with other union regiments, stood their ground against repeated Confederate assaults before being forced to surrender, but bought bought Grant time to rally his army and set up a new defensive line at Pittsburgh Landing on the Tennessee River. Aided by reinforcements by General Buell's army, Grant turned the tide on the second day, ensuring union victory. 🇺🇲

Very good. I like the reality and at the end letting us know what happened to them later in their lives. Thank you.

Damn, this brought tears to my eyes. To think our ancestors were capable of wholesale slaughter against each other, men who had so much in common. And the underlying issues still persist in America to this day...

And now weve come full circle. This time however, all Americans share the same sentiment as the south. Its strange how history repeats even if ever so different. May God bless this united land against our oppressors. We did not free men to become slaves ourselves.
