Signal meters are as much vanity as anything else . I much prefer my MK 1 Earhole to tell me what the received signal is like. 73 M7BLC

In theory its great, well built. But i have 2 on my bench, one dead, the other thinks it has a good match when it doesn't (no the bridge diodes are fine). Customer service is zero: find a local dealer he says. Lol. When you change bands on the ft817 it doesn't automatically change settings like the elecraft t1, but the elecraft doesn't change your mode to tune on fm. Also the elecraft is put together like a childs toy in a Christmas cracker. My sadness is that i cant fit the board of the t1 in the case of the mat10

Amazing bit of kit, I was able to listen to USA and Canada chat with this at +10 gain power setting.

I just received a rig expert 500 yesterday and have an ungodly number of problems with it and no way to really contact anyone for help except an email in ukraine. When you finally locate the manual it's in a font size smaller than anything I've ever seen in my life when you print it out, the software doesn't work on any of the three computers that I have and it screwed up the booting on two of them. When you change velocity factor in the settings it's not reflected when you go to take the measurement. The manual does not include any instructions on the functions on the second screen. To top it all off there's really no f****** help at all from the rig expert company for any of these problems they sell it to you and then tell you to go to hell.

I reconsidered your voice from radio snythication

This now comes with cables for pretty much every make of radio.

One gripe about scanners is that you have to put up with EMS and fire tone-outs. They can be beyond annoying, especially when they wake up others. I have a video of the Magic Notch automatic audio notch filter on my channel, and it does a marvelous job of killing those annoying tones.

Hello, i have this radio but when the screen is off, the PTT doesn't work, do you know if there is a setting that changes this? It's really annoying having to make sure that the screen is on every single time i want to use it. In addition to that, i have noticed that whenever i want to change the volume and someone is transmitting, it is really slow and tends to crash zello a whole lot.

I think it's pretty funny how you're technically breaking a crime by listening to that ATC. In the UK it's considered illegal to listen to radio communications that aren't public or weren't intended for yourself, ATC comms. are private, making it illegal to listen to them. But hey, I do it too, it's a stupid law from a time when there was paranoia about spies, nobody will be prosecuted for it.
