I haven't watched this movie because I don't want to see so much pain inflicted on innocent people, so I've been watching bits and pieces. I think I'm getting my courage up to watch it, it seems like a really good movie.

Some scenes are so so hard to watch, but the ones who deserve happiness do get to experience it in the end. It’s a must see movie for everyone Id say.

Rachel and Skeeter had the same energy and spirit both fierce and brave women because they were raised by the same strong mother ❤️

This scene moves me to tears for Constantine and Skeeter. Moving elderly people tends to hasten their decline and death. I don’t care about anyone else’s comments or responses.

Scriptwriter nor the screenplay did any justice to the characters. It felt like a commercial movie. Such good plot got murdered by IDIOTS.

Well, now she's on her death bed with no closure to probably the nicest person who ever touched herr life. Sombody who was warm and helpful in her life. And for the sake of impressing superficial meaningless relationships. She let her go. That kind of emptiness eats at a person's soul. It's a wonder that she didn't replace constantine....... Probably because constantine could not be replaced. Some people are irreplaceable.

Unpopular opinion: ESH. Allison Janney's character could not survive the social ostracision in a small southern town like that. No one will take your business and you'll be driven out, no matter how wealthy you are. If anything, I'm upset the maid's daughter decided to put her boss between a rock and a hard place. (I dunno about y'all, but I've worked in places where family cannot drop by while I'm on the clock.) Telling her that now is not a good time is sufficient. She doesn't have to give a reason. It'd be nice, but she's not entitled. The maid telling her daughter to go to the kitchen was messed up. It violated a direct order from the boss, in front of the boss and her social superiors. I'm sorry, but if I embarass my boss, I'm fired. Rightfully so. Maid's daughter lost her cool and needed to p*ss her Mom's boss off because she felt slighted. This is just stupid. I feel for Stone's character the most. She didn't deserve to find out this way. These ladies are messy. 💅

As someone who always grows up with maid since I was born, my mom was a working-mom got home at night and go to the office in the morning so I don’t spend so much time with her, I could really feel skeeter’s pain. Few maids are so close to me, I bawled my eyes out when she left us to get married when I was only 6. I cried all night, and my mom has to call my grandma because she needs help to take care of the children while she’s at work. I learned so many lessons growing up, one thing for sure is that I don’t want to ever make my children love other ladies more than their mom or ever to make my children where her mother is growing up.

I just love Jonny…. Young, still maturing and gaining wisdom and yet….wise enough to recognise the differences Miss Minnie has already made to his darling, good hearted wife Miss Celia. Jonny so rightly told Minnie how much he appreciated her. Far as he’s concerned Minnie isn’t owned, or an employee, Minnie is part of their family for life if she wants it. …. Jonny’s no fool….. between Miss Minnie and Miss Celia looking after him, there ain’t nothing he’s ever going to want for again when it comes to love and being fed.

It’s easy to see why Johnny chose Celia over Hilly, he was a good man with good values, while Hilly was spiteful and full of hate, she did not align with his values but Celia did, she’s a very kind sweet woman, she even felt bad when she thought Hilly hated her because she though Johnny cheated on Hilly with her.
