The story just says he "passed away" but from reading the story it sounds to me like he took his own life, there are lots of comments about where you can turn to to talk to someone It is easy for us to say "talk to someone" but when you are that down, you truly don't think anyone cares and you think those you love would be better off with out you, your mind is not rational, of course those who do "call someone" can be helped but they don't know that, that's why we should not put all of the onus on those in need, we should always look out for each other, don't just assume people are OK, stay in contact and do the best you can, tell them you care, show them you care, show them you are always be there for them, the Human race is a rat race, we get carried away with our own lives and wanting more and more "stuff" we are a "herd" animal, nothing worse than feeling alone, it is a whole lot different than being alone

@@georgemoore7186 Some choose to be alone. Some are abandoned or deserted. Some people can neglect others. Some people are downright judgmental. Its a crazy world. Talk with God if you're alone.

@@fullcircle4723 there is a difference between being alone and being lonely, depression isn't about happenstance, what happens to you is not what causes depression, I am not a psychologist, and I have never been depressed, I have been sad, I have been unhappy, I have been disappointed with life at times, I have even been angry, these feelings happen to everyone at different times in their life, we can all handle them but depression is something else, I have known people that do suffer from depression, it is something that really needs help from a professional, maybe even medication, it needs to be properly diagnosed first, now by Medication I do not mean they need to be doped to the eyeballs and in a semi conscious state, sometimes it is just a chemical imbalance, God cannot help, I know you mean well but that is bad advice for someone who has a serious medical condition and that is what depression can be, it needs first to be diagnosed and that takes consultation between your Doctor, a Psychologist and a Psychiatrist all working in tandem, it can be cured or at least there is treatment than means you can lead a normal life, the Mind and Body is a very complicated apparatus, it needs experts but the first stop is love and friendship, don't let them spiral down, help them get whatever help they need and stay by their side, the signs can be very subtle, we all lead busy lives and it is easy to miss the signs in others, just because people are sad doesn't mean they are depressed, when you are sad there is a reason, you know WHY you are sad, you know why you are unhappy, disappointed etc, there is always a reason, not so with depression, you don't know why you are depressed so when a friend asks "What's the matter? they can't answer and that just makes the depression go deeper and makes the friend get a little frustrated, they don't know what to do so they give up, with something like "Get over it" because the friend doesn't know what "It" is and thinks the depressed person can just snap out of it P.S. I am not against God or using faith but not if that is all you do, Depression needs expert diagnosis and treatment, working with Religion is fine and could help but it's not the answer alone
