I'm interested to know what camera / glass was used on this rig - is that a Canon 4.3, or a prime lens ?

I count how many times I see cameras in frame during the finals and last time (as far as I remember) none of the 89 times was a stedycam.

hey man, are you going to make a video about ESC 2019? It could be interesting because of ESC 2020 cancellation.

Yes, nice done. But I prefer to spell my name with K and not C =)

I referred to this published article from SVT blogg.svt.se/melodifestivalen-expertbloggen/files/2020/01/KAMPLOT_MELLO20_191217.pdf where your name is spelled with a C instead of a K. I apologize for the mistake and will have this in mind if there are more videos. Awesome work in any case!

I think their shots are perfect, but I noticed that both of their operating arm placement for the index finger is on top of the gimbal, i think it is to prevent the shots from rolling off the horizon level, however, according to some operators, that is not a good habit to operate in, what do you guys think?
@anarfox4 жыл бұрын
According to another comment on this video, the zoom control is on the gimbal.

When can we expect the eurovision 2018 steadicam compilation
@isak17326 жыл бұрын
There is currently not so much content from the rehearsals available on KZbin, I read somewhere that you're only allowed to upload 2-3 minutes of footage from the rehersals. I don't know if that applies to after the contest as well. Either case, I will try to get as much footage as I can.

Noticed that in 2016 a cameraman waa alone, in 2017 a cameraman is with another man. Who knows why?
@isak17326 жыл бұрын
Anton Diachuk The second guy you see in 2017 is the so called focus puller. He manages the focus (and zoom I believe). But in 2016 did the camera man do the focus pulling by him self so there was no need for a second guy.
@SondreAJ5 жыл бұрын
@@isak1732 The steadicam operators doing Eurovision always use focus pullers. Some focus pullers prefer to pull focus by eye, measuring the distance beetween the subject and the lens and this is the second person following the operator which sometimes can be seen on stage. Most pullers though just sit backstage and pull focus while watching a monitor with focus peaking on it. Zoom is controlled by the steadicam operators themselves using a zoom demand placed on the steadicam gimbal :)
