ugh, this video was entirely unhelpful. Doesn't even differentiate the differences between American wisteria versus Asian Wisteria.

So how does buffering kill them. I’m confused on what steps I need to take to kill my southern pine beetle.
@zachgriffin36892 ай бұрын
You don’t really kill them the forest pest management Manual is online page 17. They are in low numbers with only a few “spot” outbreaks. Cut and burn Cut and leave Cut and spray Those are the options you have but a good forest management will also help manage and prevent them so thinning when tree canopies become crowded, prescribed burn usually twice a year, and vegetation control. Tips from a forester and land manager 👍

Good job GFC does to help our forests! My dad had many customers from GFC at his store near the Macon HQ back in the 70s and 80s. I'd love to see a 15-30 minute video on the Rural Fire Defense vehicle facility at the HQ. It fascinates me to see the work they do with making rural fire vehicles from commercial and ex-military chassis.

why did cogon grass come to north america? what was the purpose of it?
@tonypurnell73725 ай бұрын
I believe it was used as packaging for shipping containers from China, especially for fragile items like glasses/dinnerware. People would throw away the packaging, and it would basically spread from wherever it was dumped.

This perennial grass from Southeast Asia (and Africa) was introduced into the U.S. in 1911 near Mobile, Alabama (Grand Bay, Alabama) as packing material in a shipment of plants from Japan and into Mississippi by cattle farmers as a forage crop before the 1920s. Later it was introduced into Florida for cattle forage and soil stabilization.

I have some stuff nobody can explain. I have so much proof it’s mind blowing nobody cares. This is a human pathogen my family and I was infected with after water contamination. Crepe myrtle flower stung me. I have a video that shows the flower to have a fleshy colored stem I put some on a jar it’s growing the most disgusting stuff. I can’t find anyone to look at it

When are maple trees supposed to be pruned? I keep seeing mid summer to reduce the sap flow, but I think my tree is stressed/has a fungus and those go dormant in the winter. It's a 30 plus gallon Shantung maple, planted November 19th 2022.

When you cut the suckers, the tree has noticeable rot/damage on its main lead very close to the ground. Would you recommend cutting the tree down to the point or removing it entirely, especially since it's such a young oak?

Translation: We, the taxing authorities (Fed Income, State Income, Local Sales Tax) want to be sure and capture EVERY last lick of timbering revenue. So, we got the GA Legislature to pass a timber-harvesting reporting statute. And to "help" you timbering companies comply, here's a handy reporting website. Oh, and of course we'll not even mention the revenue capture purpose while touting its convenience ("just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, the medicine go down. . . ").
