Thank you for sharing your Vlog. Bhalo laglo besh. In regards to the query you had regarding the Gmap and how at times it diverts through the city traffic, there are a couple of things you can try out 1> At your home, Open the Gmap and plot your start and end points. Study the route map before any long trips. I prefer to stick to the AH/NH sections. 2> You will observe that at times, the proposed route will divert from the highways and then after some kilometers will again converge to the highways. These are the typical points which causes the chaos. 3> Have another Gmap opened and plot your route over there, typically marking the sections where it diverts. 4> Now pls note down the decimal values (for example 21.455529556815513, 84.01697867304257) and manually add a few waypoints so that it converges to the Point where the road rejoins the highways. The more minute the Waypoints are, the more you will remain stuck to your preferred way. Basically you are forcing the Gmap to stick to a route, irrespective of all other constraints that the google logic might throw. 5> Also remember that a route suggested by Google is quite dynamic. That is, what it might show you at the start of the day, might change later on since the algorithm might deduce a shortest path during your travel. Adding a Waypoint takes care of this and the route will remain fix to the directions you have decided. 6> Also remember that during the journey, Gmap at times will give you an option for a divert suggesting a shorter route etc. By default the option selected is Yes (to the suggestion). Since we are busy driving, we tend to ignore these notifications and the route will divert via the route Gmap suggested 7> Also please ensure that from the Computer, Under Route Options of Google Map, there are no check marks besides Highways, Tolls and Ferries. These options should be accessible from the mobile phone as well, but I have not come across them yet. I tried to recollect the steps I perform and jotted it down so that it can assist anyone interested. We can connect offline if these are too much of Gyan :). But road travel is fun and is a moment to cherish always. Drive safe.

The suggestions are very nice. I also generally follow similar things and as you mentioned while driving we ignore or don't give attention to many notifications in mobile devices. So, it happens. Thanks for sharing detailed pointwise steps to avoid such situations. 😊

Mera Aaj ka plan hai Mumbai to Kolkata by road Car se konsa route best rhega. Please reply fast. I am solo driver

Fastest via nagpur But if you want to spend some more time and explore some places then via Hyderabad vizag. Road conditions are more or less similar.
@WanderingBongs
@WanderingBongs 2 жыл бұрын
Only suggestion as you will drive solo, keep target in each day below 700km. After that it will be a high risk zone. As per my experience more than 12- 14 driving is very tiring and then you need to freshen up and rest, so that your body and brain is prepared for the next day's journey.

Thanks for informative video.. One doubt I have.. I have to travel by road from Kolkata to Pune.. Which route shall I take?Via Hyderabad or Via Nagpur??
@WanderingBongs
@WanderingBongs 2 жыл бұрын
Both routes are okay. Via Nagpur will take less time. And on the way stays and restaurants availability is also good. I came back to Mumbai via Nagpur. On the 1st night we stayed at Bhilai. And then at Aurangabad. If you are travelling with family plan your travel in a way that it should not be tiring for them including who is driving. I would recommend to drive max 700 km in a day. Accordingly break your journey plan. And pre-book your stays.

The presentation was very good. Next time when you make the blog also see to it that you also include your co-travellers in the visuals. You have included them but increase the frequency.

Only one toll of rs 41 within Mumbai only. We didn't pay any toll in NH 66. In that way it is better than NH 48.
