Dlo Brown here from Freeze Fm and Raw-Mission back in the day. I clocked Sparkler's talent at carnival in Ladbrokegrove spitting over jungle/DnB then later to mainly Garage, but the darker basslines suited his style. Many pirate station management didn't appreciate his style. They wanted more of that hosting MCs, but Sparkler was a rapper and a lyricist NOT a host mc. He loved spitting bars. It's a shame he didn't blow or get the recognition he deserved. SkibaDee (RIP) was his inspiration and we used to rinse them Telepathy tape packs. Big up Sparkler and all the West London massive from back in the day.
