If our choices are just the outcome of brain chemistry, genetics, and external factors, it seems like we don't truly have free will. But as convincing as your argument is, I still can't come to terms with certain questions. For eg. If free will doesn't exist, how can we hold people accountable for their actions? For example: If someone commits a crime, can they really be blamed if their actions were predetermined by their upbringing or neural processes? How can punishment be just if individuals don't freely choose their behaviors? Why bother making an effort if the future is already set? I'd really like to know if it's possibleto find a way to harmonize determinism and free will?

You have "free will" to have 'determinism' it means to make it something happen you determine of thinking it , that is-( determinism) .Free will always existed first Because of "free will" you have the right to "determine" things . Determinism is a kind of authoritarian and free will is like a democratic form of goverment . You may determine of giving accurate answer but do you have the free will to say it or not 🚫.

Freewill vs Determinism *Everybody is free to do what they want and they make choices using the power of freewill* Yes scientific claims may say this otherwise, I don't blame them. But the problem with us humans is mis-positioning our concern between Determinism and Freewill. We should always know that Science does not make claims, "Science is simply a means of substantiating hypothesis with a margin of error" Even those hypothesis are made based on human subjective freewill to carry out test and projects. One tragedy with scientific materialism is, if we take its assumptions, we are not FREE we are totally determined. So if we are only determined, are you free to make this video?? Am I free to make this comment??? If you and i are totally determined we are pre-wired to think the way we do. Example- "NATURE vs NURTURE" Regardless nurture may provide a different environment but nature is our heart wired to come on this conclusion. "Out of flux nothing but flux" What you put in the computer, it will come out as expected. But for You and I, we have to ask ourselves, are we making a truth claim?? If we are making a truth claim we are rising about the bondage of total subjectivity. And the moment we make a truth claim we are violating DETERMINISM..

No freedom really escapes the laws of nature. It's not easy to deconstruct the science of determinism. But hey! I appreciate your thought sharing. Just to be clear, this video is simply to make the concepts clear.

@@lifelonglearninglllThank you for replying. "Freedom escapes the law of nature" I did not quite grasp your statement since there's no explanation, which could be ambiguous. So can you please elaborate In what ways freedom escape law of nature? And How? I'm quite intrigued. Thank you
@lifelonglearninglll
@lifelonglearninglll 2 ай бұрын
@@dvsnow210 Buddy, it's “no freedom really escapes the laws of nature.” In scientific reductionism there is no effect without cause, and there is always a reaction for every action. I totally understand your state, that life runs beyond logic. But in defense of determinism, there is no freedom that's free enough. We cannot think of single uncaused cause, unless we bring in God. As I mentioned in the video, I'm bringing a video on free will too. I hope that'll make my state clear :) Thank you.

@@lifelonglearninglllMy apologies buddy, I thought I saw a punctuation mark after the word (NO, freedom escapes) etc "No freedom really escapes the law of nature" In this case I agree with you Other than that I have no dispute about anything. My first comment was simply a clarification on why we humans are not ruled by determinism alone.
