I realy liked Anderas in this series and is really sad that he's gone. I just hoped that he is in a better place. R.I.P. G'Kar.

I remember seeing this in 2005 long before KZbin. This was one of the first fan films I ever saw, back when I didn't know Star Wars could be satirized. Give me a break I was 10 and SW was a very serious story to me.

Is always amazing to me that an actor can be around for years and then they get that one role that defines them..and lives on long after they're gone. So many iconic actors in this show have passed. Hope they know that they're still making a mark ldecades later. Top 5 of all sci- fi shows ever made. Rest easy all who made this show what it is..a classic.

I've never seen Babylon 5, but I know Katsulas from other movies he was in. I've known nothing about him, except that he was (what I thought was) type-cast as a bad guy. So I was pleasantly surprise when I was in in Communion with Christopher Walken, in which he's a good guy- a nice guy. BUT, I always though he was from another country- Russia, or Czech, maybe because he always spoke with that sort of accent. So I was surprised to read (just now) that was American born - I NEVER would have guessed that he was from Missouri. I know he was one generation away from Greek heritage, though, but that wouldn't explain the accent. In The Fugitive he speaks without an accent, though- but I was so stupid I thought he was actually *affecting* an American accent just for that role. This is very interesting learning what an idiot I've been. I've always thought he was a classy guy, though.

Was this filmed at a DragonCon by any chance? I recognize those hotels anywhere 😂🤣
@ZTeamProductions4 ай бұрын
Technically, no, it wasn't - it was primarily filmed at hotels in Knoxville and Chattanooga in early 2005. There are a couple of shots that were taken at DragonCon, but those were shot in 2002 for something else and just re-used because they fit...

My older sister was at the epic Babylon 5 convention in Blackpool between seasons 4 and 5. She said Londo came out, stood on the stage, then started to sing 🎵 “Just me and my shaaaaadows!” 🎵 which had the audience all but crying with laughter. Several minutes into his bit, G’kar comes out. Carrying a stepladder. He sets the stepladder up as Londo stares at him in silence. He climbs three steps. He looks at Londo. Londo looks at G’kar. He looks at the audience. “I do not want to be on the same level as him!” Best. Convention. Ever.

The whole series was well written, but so many of the best lines were given to G'Kar. And Andreas hit a home run every time. And this was perfect. Great editing and perfect counterpoint music.

When I hear talk about a B5 reboot, I'm left to wonder how? How do you reboot the combination of acting and writing that brought us Andreas Katsulas' G'Kar? The same can be said of so many other characters in the series as well. But G'Kar might be my favourite, as his depth and growth are so fundamental to the progression of the series.
