Hi Josh, I played this map for a bit over an hour last night, just before bed. I went straight to the rice harvester as I started with 3 small fields ready to pick. It all fit in to the dump truck and sold for around 17k even though it was a high point in the sale cycle. Seemed like a lot of work for a little pay out.

From what I've seen / heard, the payout for rice is about the same as the typical cereal crops - about in the middle. Obviously, the game will push you towards the rice-based productions to actually make money... but you're right, it's not that great profit.

Heard your comment about kids playing the game. I reached out to Giants when I was working on a college paper. Giants stated they can't/won't release that information due to confidentially.

no, i imagine they wouldn’t be allowed to share that data - don’t get me wrong, i’m not complaining about kids playing the game - i think that Giants is just trying to maintain their “E for everyone” rating, which is why stuff like butchers and meat products aren’t part of the game.

What a marvelous video! Followed your clear instructions to detail and it worked like a charm. I've been trying to color match all my equipment on my farm but there's always a lack of color options with some implements. I have the Case (red) version of that seeder with a blue Landini tractor and I can now personalize it to match. Cheers.

that menu is the debug / console menu, which is default triggered by the ~ key. i think you have to add “-debug” to your game launch settings to get access to it.

For Next stream, Either broadcast at 720p or increase Bitrate. Your stream keeps losing quality every 10 seconds or so.

@@gmngjoy NP, ive had the same issue with Streamlabs myself. I also noticed your mic audio is a slightly too quiet compared to most volume of videos on youtube. May want to bump it up a notch or two.

Haha! that's a somewhat easy one, but requires editing the map. In your map files, there's a file called `environment.xml` (if there isn't, it should be copied from the data directory, and you'll need to update the map.xml file to point to the new file)... but anyways.... The first line in the environment file is "latitude", and to change the start month (and the game winter/spring cycles) you have to tell the game that you're in the southern hemisphere, which means a "negative" latitude number. this is what mine says: <latitude>-15.684</latitude> (the rough latitude of the capital city of brazil)

Hi I have been watching your playlist I have got a couple of mods you use also which I will be trying out My problem is I can't harvest the medow grass I have tried the machine you use and I tried a mower but no grass is left behind I have played this map before harvesting the grass and using farm productions to turn it into silage as well as straw Its easier than getting a loan Do you know if the map has been updated to stop harvesting the medow grass or could it be a mod I'm using thats causing this? I like the way you do the videos as for autodrive and courseplay explaining as you go is a better way I think I do use both but not like they are ment to be used I follow daggawin and saw the video of him planting 2 crops lol I tend to use 2 machines then all you need to do with straw is use 1 machine left then right to finnish the job

There is a bug / mod conflict with this map and the "Real Mower" mod - which causes mowing the meadow grass to not output anything. I'm assuming you have that mod, and the only answer is to disable it. The reason that the conflict exists is that the entire map is "painted" with meadow and flowers/weeds and the real mower mod adds code that will mulch those flowers/weeds. since every square inch of the map is that way, it basically turns your mower into a mulcher. @@gmngjoy Hi you are correct I just disabled the mod and its working ok for now I just started again because I got myself setup for grass cutting without a loan then couldn't cut the grass Thanks for your help solving the problem I'm on Ep 14 Corn, Beets & Wheat I have been picking up a lot of tips and mods watching your videos so keep it up you are on my list of channels I follow now Cheers

Hi Josh I finally finish up watching this challenge, sorry I got distracted by the Calm Lands Challenge and watching that. I really like map edits on the new map and I really like the idea of the new challenge. When you get all the wrinkles sorted out I would like to participate. Now I need to get caught up on the next stream. Thanks for the Author Intended Challenge I have really enjoyed it. I will get it finished just waiting on the anima.

Completed contracts per type. Meaning you have to do plowing cultivating, fertalizing, weeding, and break up the harvesting into root crops and cereal crops

Thanks! The big piece right now is the data that the mod needs to work, which I have to track manually. I've got ideas on how to do it - but it requires tying into core engine systems that I'm not entirely sure will work yet. I'm hopeful though!

Great question - you actually can't select multiple nodes at a time - you have to move, change or delete them one at a time. The only way to change multiple nodes is to change an whole "segment" which you can do only from an "intersection". Think of a T intersection, where the top of the T is one path, and the bottom is another path. If you click on the intersection point, then hold down [shift] and when you click on the next point in the line, it'll change that whole line (until the next intersection point) to a secondary line, or (or primary if it was already secondary). OR you can click on the intersection, and hold down [CTRL] and click on the next point in the line, it will change the entire line's direction, or convert the whole line to a two way line... that's the only way to manipulate multiple nodes at once.

Hiya Josh, I agree that keyboard steering is harder than controller or wheel steering. I think is because the Keyboard is either "On or Off" so it gives Maximum effort for the time it is engaged. Where the Wheel and Controller have a way to measure how far you have turned so can vary the effort put into turning the wheels. or ar at least have a variable stop point. Keyboard is only gonna know that you want to turn not how far you want to turn.

Hiya, Liking the series alot, think the Survival skill up idea is GREAT. I know of another content creator that set up an app that allows him to set timestamps into Notepad. This allows him to go back to those specific spots for whatever he wanted at that timestamp. So instead of watching back the whole video he can just jump to those spots and get the info he wanted. Think he did it as a Key Bind. This way all of these Ideas you get or discuss you can get back quickly. I know this is late but for the store deliveries you can have it so you can only buy at the store to begin with then move onto "online orders", You could have No deliveries to start then Get Deliveries the next day with a Premium Surcharge for Same Day/Immedite Delivery or Next day Reduced cost, Then Free Next day with Reduced Same Day, Then Free Same Day. Can't wait to see what other ideas you get and develop. Well back to the Binge Watch.

Thanks for the tips! That's a great idea to have a key-bind to save a timestamp so i can go back to something later. Time to look into Stream Deck plugins! Good idea on the Store Deliveries (and a good reminder, I haven't implemented that one yet into the skills). I'll have to modify the Store Deliveries mod a bit to make it work, or somehow add an extra surcharge when SD makes a delivery - since that mod has a fixed rate that isn't modifiable.

I really love seeing how a map comes together when you get to own the entire map and make it more than it was with a lot of hard work - but leveraging the map's terrain to make something that really fits! I did the same on NewLands (kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHrLfnyMoquNjqs) for a similar challenge, and loved it!

Thanks for watching & commenting! I see how you'd think that I may have failed, but the "goal" for this challenge was up for interpretation to every player. I decided to play my way, you can play your way. I did actually check with the challenge creator before using those items, and was told the same - to play how I wanted, with the main rule to adhere to being the 200hp limitation. That said - I realized after this episode how the container mod felt a bit like cheating and didn't use it again. I'd suggest that watch more of the series and see how it evolves!

Converting mods (from an earlier version of FS to a current version of FS) is a somewhat lengthy process, and in most cases involves work in Blender, which isn't something I'm very good at.
